Certificates and proclamations to celebrate Mrs. Smith’s life were given from the City of Houston - District K Mayor Pro-Tem Council Martha Castex Tatum office, Proclomations and flags flown over the United States Capitol were presented to the Smith family from U.S. Members of Congress including Congressman Rep. Al Green and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee at Mrs. Joyce Smith’s celebration of life service. She truly was an icon and my she-hero. 🙏🕊️🌷
