It's time once again for another brand new video on Dan's Walking Tours UK. This time, we're going to be having an ASMR walk around a beautiful country park in the Shropshire town of Telford that was once a thriving area of industrial activity. Some of that wonderful history remains in the place we'll be having a walk and an exploration around this week.

For this weeks video, we'll be having a walk around the unknown but wonderful nature reserve called Granville Country Park. If you would like to learn more about the park before the video release, here are some links with more information below:

It’s that time once more with another brand new video on Dan’s Walking Tours UK. This time around, we will be completing my trilogy series on the absolutely stunning Shropshire town of Shrewsbury.

In Part 3, we will be having a wonder around the town's magnificent park which is called "The Quarry." Deep within the park is a beautiful landscaped garden called "The Dingle", which was once a former stone quarry. Believe me folks, our latest walking tour is not to be missed.

Our latest video will be unveiled to you all in a brand new (experimental) schedule this Friday (22nd May 2026) at 4:45pm UK time.

However, before our latest release, if you folks haven't seen the first 2 videos on Shrewsbury, here is a link below for them both:

Hello one & all! 👋😁 I hope that you are all doing very well?

It’s that time once more with another brand new video on Dan’s Walking Tours UK. This time around, we have an ASMR Countryside Walk. This particular walk was mentioned to me in my Walking Tour video of Much Wenlock by ‪@WhitewashTheThird‬ who used to live in the town. They informed me of a beautiful walkway which was used as an old railway line as well Gaskell Field, which is used for the local games that inspired the modern Olympic Games. So, in our latest walk, we’ll be discovering these as well as the location for the towns old railway station.

It’s a little bit overdue, but I thought it would be an idea to show you folks how beautiful this particular walk is.

Our latest ASMR video of Much Wenlock will be available this Saturday (9th May 2026) at 11am UK time.

I hope you folks will enjoy our upcoming video. Until then, have a wonderful week & upcoming weekend. Take care, stay safe & happy exploring! 🙏❤️

Hello everyone! 👋I hope that you're all doing very well?

My sincerest apologies!! During the editing phase of my videos, I'm normally very thorough with my work. But this time around, I noticed after I released our latest creation around the Shropshire town of Oswestry that there was a couple of errors within it. So, I've decided to take the original video down immediately and sort out the mistakes.

I always try to make sure that I set the highest standards for myself & create the best quality that I possibly can, but I slipped up this time around. I'm very sorry about this folks. I have now completed corrected the errors I made in the original release and I shall reschedule the video for tomorrow (Sunday 26th April 2026) at 11am instead.

I hope that you will all enjoy the second attempt at my latest video when it will be available tomorrow. 🤪 Have a wonderful weekend folks. Take care, stay safe & happy exploring! 🙏❤️

Hello one & all around the globe! 👋I hope that you're all doing very well and have a had a wonderful week so far?

How time is literally flying by folks! It doesn't seem 5 minutes since our most recent video release. Now though, it is time for our latest creation with a Walking Tour around the Shropshire town of Oswestry.

The question I ask for this tour is whether Oswestry is a place that is worth visiting, or whether it's one to avoid. The reason I ask this question is because the town has a bit of a mixed reaction as to whether it's a good place. Some say "Yes" and others say "NO". Also, Oswestry is featured in a video from another channel called Turdtowns, and they place the town 5th in the worst places in Shropshire. But I wonder whether that is justified or not? We'll be finding that out together!

During our tour of Oswestry, we'll be viewing some key sites landmarks such as:

1) St Oswald's Church - Stunningly beautiful property which has been a place for around 900 years

2) Cae Glas Park - Public green space that was once home to a mansion, but was later converted into a gorgeous public park in the early 1900's

3) Borderland Farmer Statue - Designed by local sculpture, Ivor Roberts-Jones, it was unveiled in 1990 to commemorate the site of the old livestock market in the town

4) Old Chapel Court - Modern shopping alley which was once a graveyard for the former English Baptist Church (situated on English Walls)

5) Oswestry Guildhall - Constructed in 1893, it was the third Guildhall to be constructed in the town. It's also home to a museum about Oswestry

6) Oswestry Castle - Situated on Castle Bank, the old castle was destroyed during the English Civil War in 1644 and was the home of the FitzAlan family for centuries.

Our tour of Oswestry will be released this Saturday (25th April 2026) at 11am UK time. I hope you will enjoy our new video. 🙏 Have a wonderful rest of the week & fast approaching weekend. Take care, stay safe & happy exploring! 🙏❤️

Hello everyone! 👋I hope that you're all doing very well and have a had a wonderful week so far?

My sincerest apologies for being away for so long! If any of you folks read my previous community post, for many reasons, I have fallen behind and have been playing a little bit of catch up.

However, I am now delighted to say that we are back!! 🥳🎉 For our return, we will be having a relaxing ASMR walk around a hidden woodland within the Shropshire town of Church Stretton.

This forest is an area you might, or might not have heard of before, but our latest hike will be around Rectory Wood & Field. To give you folks a quick history lesson about the wood, this 10 acre (4 hectare) area was landscaped in the year 1770 by local Reverend John Mainwaring. What's fascinating about this story is that Mainwaring was friends with the great English Landscape designer, Lancelot Capability Brown. It's unknown whether Capability Brown was involved in the project. However, records do indicate that he visited the town of Church Stretton. It's something which is still debated to this day.

Rectory Wood is part woodland and part meadow, which comprises of steep banks, the old town brook, an artificial pool and the remains of a Gothic pump house.

There's lots to see here, but because of the nearby hiking tourist destinations of Carding Mill Valley & The Long Mynd, Rectory Wood is missed out by a lot of visitors and locals. However, that's why I'm here to show you how fascinating and beautiful this wooded area is.

Our ASMR Walk of Rectory Wood & Field will be available this Saturday (11th April) at 11am UK time. I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming walking video? 🙏

Have a wonderful rest of the week & fast approaching weekend. Take care, stay safe & happy exploring! 🙏❤️

Hello one and all! 👋 I hope that you're all doing very well & are having a wonderful week so far?

As the captions on the picture on this community post tells you all, unfortunately, there won't be a new video for you folks to watch this weekend. 2026 hasn't been the kind of brilliant start to the year as I was hoping for. There's a few reasons as to why this has been the case but I'll quickly go through them to give you kind folks an explanation.

At the start of this year, I was hoping to do a couple of winter walks of various locations here in Shropshire. The plan was to record a few videos that I have a catalogue ready for you all to watch in the future. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case as I was feeling unwell for a few weeks and I wasn't able to travel to the locations I had lined up. As a result, this has put me behind schedule to which I'm still playing catch up.

Also, the weather hasn't been too kind, which hasn't made it ideal to travel out and record any videos.

Then, just for a laugh, whilst I was travelling recently, before I arrived at our next destination for the channel, I realised that I had forgotten some of my vital video recording gear. As a result, I arrived at the location and couldn't even record a blooming video! 😂😂😂 This wasn't like me to forget some of my equipment. I'm normally very thorough when it comes to preparation, but this time, my brain (what's left of it anyway) wasn't functioning that day! 😂😂😂

I've also been quite busy away from the channel and haven't been able to commit as much as I'd like to. As a result, I am behind where I wanted to be at this point & I'm now playing catch-up.

All I can say is that I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to release any new videos this week. I was hoping to stick to one video release every fortnight, but I haven't been able to do so this time around.

As we speak, I am now committed to record as many Walking Tour & ASMR videos as I possibly can. I'm not sure when the next release will be, but it's my hope that I can produce a video in time for Saturday 11th April 2026. I will keep you folks posted if anything changes between now and then.

My sincerest apologies once more. I hope that you folks will understand? All I can do at this time is to say thank you for your support. At the time of writing, it's incredible to believe that I'm now at 300 subscribers which is amazing. It's all because of you folks who watch and enjoy the videos. Thank you very, very much! I always appreciate every single one of you.

Have a wonderful rest of the week & fast approaching weekend. Take care, stay safe & happy exploring! 🙏❤️

Hello my fellow travel adventurers! 👋 I hope that you're all doing very well & are having a wonderful week so far?

It's that time once more where we'll be having our latest video release. This time, we are in the village of Whittington, which is around 3 miles (4.8km) north-east of the Shropshire town of Oswestry (which I'll be covering very soon).

Whittington has a population of around 2,698 residents. The most intriguing structure within the village of Whittington is the ruins of a derelict castle. Whittington castle was founded by William Peverel, who was a powerful Norman knight who fought alongside William the Conqueror. It played an important role as it was under numerous attacks from Welsh invaders. For over 200 years, from 1204 to 1420, the castle was owned by the FitzWarin family. Despite having multiple owners, the castle started to fall into decline & decay since the early 15th century. There's lots to learn about this fascinating place.

During our walking tour of Whittington, we'll be taking a look at the village's church called "St John the Baptist", have a quick wonder around the memorial garden (that used to be the graveyard for St John's) before we conclude with a very thorough walk around the intriguing ruins of Whittington Castle.

Our walking tour of the village of Whittington will be released on Saturday 14th March 2026 at 11am UK time.

Thank you once more for your support follows and support. Have a wonderful rest of the week & fast approaching weekend. And I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming video. Take care, stay safe & happy exploring! 🙏❤️

Sometimes, when heading out to any location, it’s always a nice surprise to discover something that you don’t expect.

Situated not too far away from Oliver’s Point in the Shropshire woodland of Nesscliffe Country Park, I came across an amazing woodland camp & a set of man made shelters. I’m no expert, but I suspect this was for the young scouts within the Shropshire area to enjoy the great outdoors. Whatever its purpose, this was still wonderful to discover during my first visit to the country park.

The woodland camp & shelters are featured in our latest Walking Tour video around Nesscliffe.

I hope you're all doing very well & are having a wonderful weekend?! 🙏❤️

Hey everyone! 👋 I hope that you’re all doing very well?

To be honest, my Instagram page isn’t going that well. It’s a bit disheartening to share my pictures & hardly anyone sees them. 😔😔 So from today, I thought that I would do something which I did at the beginning of my venture. I will start sharing my photos of every location I visit on the community page for all of you good folks on YouTube to enjoy instead. 🫶

Of all the woodlands I’ve visited so far on my YouTube channel, Nesscliffe in Shropshire is definitely the most beautiful & intriguing places I’ve been to. Here’s one reason why this place is magical.

Carved into this red sandstone cliff face is called Kynaston’s Cave. From 1491 to 1518, this was home to a highwayman called Humphrey Kynaston (died 1534).

Kynaston was the son of the High Sheriff of Shropshire by the name of Sir Roger Kynaston (1432/33 - 1495). He was married at least twice & had about 10 children.

In 1491, Kynaston was made an outlaw by King Henry VIII for his part in the murder of a man named John Hughes in Little Stretton (Shropshire). He fled away from the law & hid in this cave with his horse named Beelzebub.

During this time, Humphrey became Shropshire’s answer to Robin Hood, where he robbed from the rich & gave to the poor. He evaded capture multiple times. One legend claims that a local sheriff removed planks from a bridge on a path to the cave. However, his horse managed to leap and safely clear the bridge.

Humphrey Kynaston was finally pardoned in 1516 by King Henry VIII after he provided 100 men to aid the king in his battle against the French. He died peacefully in 1534.

The cave was still in use for a little while after Kynaston’s time. It was last lived in the 18th century when a family of 9 were raised here.

Today, the cave is blocked off & no-one can enter. This is because bats now use the cave, and they are protected here in the UK. At least 3 species of bats are known to live inside the cave including Pipistrelle Bats, Daubenton’s Bats & Natterer’s Bats.

Despite not being able to access the cave, visitors can still see the outside of the cave in person & admire the location and story of the legend. This is also a popular spot for rock climbing.

Kynaston’s Cave is featured in our latest Walking Tour video around Nesscliffe. If you haven’t seen the video yet, please feel free to click the link below to see this beautiful Shropshire woodland in all of its glory! I hope you’ll enjoy! 🙏❤️
