This channel is about building fantasy worlds through classic dungeon-crawling games like HeroQuest, Advanced HeroQuest, and Warhammer Quest.
I spend a lot of time 3D printing terrain, building dungeons, painting Oldhammer miniatures, and creating atmospheric gaming spaces. This isn’t about being a professional painter or a tutorial channel – it’s about the enjoyment of the hobby, the nostalgia of classic Games Workshop fantasy, and the satisfaction of creating something tangible.
Most of the videos are simply me working on projects, building, painting, and developing the world as it grows. If you enjoy dungeon crawlers, terrain building, Oldhammer, or just the atmosphere of classic fantasy gaming, you’re very welcome here.

Still pushing on with the Witch Lord throne room.
The paint scheme is finally starting to come together now that the washes and weathering have gone down. The red architectural trim ended up tying in really nicely with the classic artwork once everything was toned back.
Currently working on:
- rust and grime effects
- stained glass inserts
- glowing pit/grate lighting
- emerging ghouls beneath the floor
- candle lighting
- throne details and final weathering
The Witch Lord himself is next.
Trying to keep the overall feel somewhere between classic HeroQuest artwork and an old White Dwarf showcase board.

Started the first paint stages on my heavily modified Return of the Witch Lord throne room build using Dragon’s Rest terrain as the base.
Very early WIP at the moment — this is just the initial black basecoat and first grey drybrush to start pulling the detail out.
The finished setup will include:
- glowing throne eyes
- illuminated braziers
- fog/vapour effects through the central grate
- stained glass inserts
- hidden creatures beneath the lower grates
- a permanently installed painted Witch Lord
It’s gradually turning into more of a full HeroQuest display-piece diorama than standard gaming terrain.
I’ll post a few occasional previews as it develops, but I think this one will probably be best appreciated once all the lighting, effects and final painting are brought together.

Advanced HeroQuest – 3D Quest Room WIP
Bringing one of the classic quest rooms into 3D.
Base colours are down — next step is pushing the highlights and getting that proper Oldhammer warmth into it.

Final stretch now… 👀
The outer perimeter is almost there. I’ve just finished installing the track section, but as you can see it’s still in raw grey — so that’s next on the bench.
Once that’s painted and weathered, this should pretty much complete the board’s outer edge. After that it’s just detailing and refinements.
It’s mad looking back at how this started compared to where it is now. Nearly there…

Quick WIP update 👀
Working on the next section of my HeroQuest 3D terrain — testing stone tones on a full arch vs a broken one.
Do you prefer the stone to stay darker and moodier, or slightly lighter on the broken sections for contrast?
