I'm thinking of a new direction with the channel, over the years life has become more busy: Entering the workforce, moving out of home and becoming a dad all have taken away my attention from here. In that light, I want to make videos that are sustainable longer term. I was thinking of something more serialized and informative.

How would the idea of a monthly mapping project showing the geopolitics of Earth and the solar system sound? The idea would be to depict the events of the solar system and document a series of events for the preceding month, be it science, geopolitics and astronomy.

The long term vision here would be to produce maps of all the planets/moons and depict the slow colonization of the solar system over years. To be clear, this is an early stage vision, so it may turn out more boring or more exciting than I'm putting it here. It's something I could make monthly and deliver content more regularly if this sounds interesting.

Astronomers have just observed a collision on Jupiter that has caused a significant flash on its surface! Jupiter frequently takes more impacts than other planets in the solar system due to its size and gravitational influence. As a result, spectacular collisions do occur more often there than anywhere else.

Who else is excited for Artemis 2? This will be our first fly by attempt of the Moon as a manned mission since Apollo, and is currently targeted for next year!
