ASML raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to between €43 billion and €45 billion, up from its previous guidance of €36 billion to €40 billion and above the Wall Street consensus of €39.4 billion, with gross margin guidance lifted to 54-56% from 51-53%.
Q3 guidance calls for total net sales between €11 billion and €12 billion and a gross margin between 55% and 57%.
Q2 sales rose 21.2% year-over-year to €9.33 billion, with EPS up 28.6% to €7.59, both beating estimates;
South Korea led system sales at 43%, Taiwan 30%, China 14%, and the U.S. 9%.
CEO Christophe Fouquet said ASML is "pretty much already close to receive all the EUV orders we need for 2027," as it adds 30% EUV capacity versus 2026, with another 30% increase for 2028 under evaluation, and guided Logic revenue up about 25% this year and Memory up about 75%.
Asked whether roughly 85 Low-NA EUV tools in 2027 is a ceiling, CFO Roger Dassen said "the 85 is a nice representation of the balance," while signaling openness to adding more if customer demand requires it.
Separately, Intel announced it is using ASML's next-generation High-NA tool for some of its advanced Panther Lake chips, built on the Intel 18A node — a key production-readiness milestone for the technology.

India's Union Cabinet has approved the $13 billion Semicon 2.0 program alongside a $7.5 billion Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme, representing a massive push to localize the global electronics supply chain.
The dual initiatives aim to capture 30% of global phone manufacturing and target 2028 for the country's first commercial semiconductor fabrication plant.
This aggressive new expansion is structurally supported by a wave of multi-year corporate investments announced during previous tech summits that are now actively deploying.
Foundational commitments from earlier rounds include $400 million each from Applied Materials, AMD, and KLA, alongside $300 million from Microchip Technology and $1.1 billion from Lam Research.
These ongoing engineering and workforce investments, coupled with the Tata Group's established agreements with ASML, IBL Electron, and Merck, provide the critical infrastructure required to execute the ambitious goals of Semicon 2.0.

USA Rare Earth said its hydrometallurgical facility in Wheat Ridge, Colorado has produced commercial-grade dysprosium and neodymium-praseodymium oxide samples from recycled magnet swarf sourced from its Stillwater, Oklahoma magnet plant.
The company called the separation "a pivotal milestone," establishing the Company as one of the few Western producers capable of executing this technically demanding process outside Asia.
The oxides are expected to go to Less Common Metals in the UK for qualification and conversion into rare earth metals and strip cast, which will feed USA Rare Earth's U.S. magnet manufacturing, with swarf projected to supply up to 30% of future feedstock needs.
Additional campaigns at Wheat Ridge are now processing material from the company's Round Top project in Texas and Serra Verde's Pela Ema mine in Brazil.

The governments and industry partners of Australia, Japan and the United States, together with Alcoa, announced Tuesday that they have reached a final investment decision for a gallium production plant to be co-located at Alcoa's Wagerup alumina refinery in Western Australia, which Alcoa will build and operate.
Production capacity is anticipated to be 100 tonnes per annum, representing about 10 percent of global gallium demand, for use in semiconductors and defense applications.

GF Securities analyst Alicia Xia initiated Semtech with a Buy rating, saying the company is "entering a multi-year growth cycle driven by the continued expansion of AI infrastructure."
Xia noted Semtech's AI interconnect portfolio now spans active copper cables, TIAs, drivers, lasers and NPO-oriented analog solutions across both copper and optical connectivity.
While Semtech guides AI-related revenue above $350 million for fiscal 2027, GF forecasts $466 million, rising to $1.22 billion in fiscal 2028, as NPO adoption removes DSPs and shifts value to analog front-end components — a trend she said Nvidia and leading cloud providers are evaluating.
NPOs mount optical engines near compute or switching chips rather than at the switch edge, offering simpler packaging and easier repairs than fully co-packaged optics.

Quantinuum, Rolls-Royce, Riverlane and EPCC, the UK National Supercomputing Centre at the University of Edinburgh, announced an agreement to explore the quantum computing capabilities needed for future industrial workflows such as gas turbine design.
Quantinuum will provide access to its quantum systems and software; Rolls-Royce will contribute industrial design use cases; Riverlane will contribute quantum error correction expertise; and EPCC will bring supercomputing and hybrid workflow integration.
Quantinuum's Helios will serve as the testbed, with the partners assessing how findings could scale to Quantinuum's planned future systems, Sol and Apollo.

For the fiscal year ending June 25, 2027, the company guided revenue of $130 million to $150 million — well above the $85.14 million consensus, representing 160%-200% year-over-year growth — with non-GAAP net income expected at 18% to 22% of revenue, backed by a record effective backlog of over $100 million.
CEO Gayn Erickson noted that just two years ago "over 95% of our business was tied to silicon carbide for electric vehicles," versus almost 95% of fiscal 2026 revenue now coming from other markets.

BlackRock says surging Japanese government bond yields underscore a broader global interest rate reset driven by higher-for-longer policy expectations.
The firm notes that 10-year Japanese government bond yields have climbed to their highest levels in decades as investors reprice central bank policy, while the yen remains near multi-decade lows against the U.S. dollar.
Rising yields across the U.S., Europe, and Japan reflect a structural shift from the ultra-low-rate era of 2020–21.
BlackRock also highlighted that long-dated forward rates implied by Japanese government bonds are around 5%, compared with roughly 6% in the U.S. and 5.5% in Australia, signaling expectations that higher borrowing costs will persist globally.
