Announcement:
I am going to stop doing the ranking videos. The main reason I started doing these was because I wanted to document my thoughts on the 2026 season, seeing as I have watched every race, and also so I could play with my wheel on the f1 game to get background footage. That’s been the best part of every one of those videos, but as some of you will know my pedals broke recently, so it’s been less fun to record those races. There’s other factors as well:
- no one seems to care (which is fair but I respect and appreciate all of you who do watch them)
- it takes an unnecessary amount of time to make them and it quite often distracts me from the main video I was working on at that point.
- I can never get them out quick enough for it to be worth it
- it’s clunking up the feed. I want my video tab to be full of big hitting, professional looking thumbnails, titles and high view counts. That’s not what it looks like at the moment. It’s not all about views for me on YouTube, but when views are low on a certain type of video and I’m kind of wasting my time on it, I’ve got to take action.
I should have done this sooner but in reality I was embarrassed to, in a way, ‘cut my losses’ on a series because it would look like I’m quitting just because the views are low. But if I keep chasing this down I’m gonna keep wasting my precious time on videos no one really cares about. Once again, thank you to everyone who watches them regularly, semi-regularly, whatever. But this is the right move for the future of the channel.
