I’m a gamer and streamer. I love open world RPG games with survival theme. Catch me live on Twitch daily at 7:30 am (EST) onwards except Mondays and Thursdays unless I decide to do bonus streams.

Not every Twitch stream needs explosions, jump scares, or people yelling into a microphone.

My partner's corner of Twitch is all about cozy crochet projects, calming music, and relaxing vibes. If that sounds like your kind of thing, come check her out.

My friend gave me the DJ Zombieland idea because I always play background music in 7 Days to Die since it can get quite grindy but perhaps country and jazz music aren't suitable? LOL

Unless you’re intentionally doing a silent, gameplay-only or tutorial-style stream, streaming lives and dies on energy.

I might be new to Twitch, but I’m definitely not new to talking into the void. I’ve spent nearly 20 years as a corporate trainer and facilitator, often speaking to rooms of executives that gave me… absolutely nothing back. No reactions, no feedback, just blank stares. And since 2019, I’ve been on YouTube narrating my gameplay, adding commentary like someone was watching… even when no one actually was.

So when I started streaming on Twitch in early 2026, I already had a bit of a head start in the “yapping to myself” department.

One thing I hear a lot from new streamers is how discouraging silent chats can be. It messes with their motivation. They start questioning themselves. And eventually, they go quiet too.

But here’s the part that people don’t think about…

The moment you let silence kill your energy, your stream changes. And not in a good way.

Because it’s not just about the people who aren’t talking. There are always silent viewers lurking. There are always people catching your VODs later. And if they drop in and feel zero energy, zero excitement, why would they stick around? Why would they come back?

That’s the real game.

I’ve put together a simple guide in this article to help new streamers handle silent chats. But if you don’t feel like reading all that right now, here’s the short version:
Enjoy your game.

Say what’s on your mind.

React like someone is watching because eventually, someone will be.

Let your excitement show. Have fun with it!

Stream for yourself first. The right people will feel that and they’ll find you.

I spent hours digging my own grave but somehow it was therapeutic.

Started the stream drunk… couldn’t string together what I wanted to say. Somehow still played like a pro.

Then I sobered up and immediately started playing like I always do...horribly. So yeah… apparently drunk me is the better gamer.

Watch the VOD if you want to witness that very questionable character development.

Follow me on Twitch and catch me live… maybe I’ll be good again.

This will be my last recap. Not because I don’t appreciate you but because I don’t want to wait anymore.

A few days ago, I lost someone very important to me, and it reminded me how unpredictable life really is.

So instead of saving appreciation for the end of the month… I’m choosing to say it in the moment...on streams, on my stories, in our Discords, or even just dropping you a DM.

To everyone who shows up, whether you chat, lurk, or just drop by for a second, thank you. You matter more than you think.

Life’s short. Appreciate people now, not later.

Silent chat is every new streamer’s nightmare.

I used to worry about it too.

Turns out… it’s not a problem once you learn how to narrate your gameplay.

🌸 International Women’s Month Appreciation 🌸

This month, I just want to take a moment to appreciate some amazing female gaming creators on YouTube who’ve not only entertained me, but supported me in ways that genuinely mean a lot.

Gaming can feel chaotic, competitive, and sometimes… a little too loud—but these creators? They made it feel like home.

🎮 The chaotic queens of comedy

‪@EllonelyGamer‬ – If chaos had a YouTube channel, it would look like this. Her content is pure unfiltered fun, the kind that makes you laugh even when everything in-game is going terribly wrong.

‪@chunkynugget8008‬ – Equal parts hilarious and unpredictable. You never really know what’s coming next… but you know it’s going to be entertaining.

‪@JoeyDean_15‬ – The kind of humor that sneaks up on you. One moment you’re watching gameplay, the next you’re laughing at something you didn’t even expect to be funny.

🌿 The chill, cozy corner of YouTube

‪@AyshaGamingGeek‬ – Cozy, grounded, and easy to watch. The kind of channel you put on when you just want to unwind and enjoy the game without the noise.

‪@CaptainN3ko‬ – Calm energy, good gameplay, and just the right amount of personality to keep you hooked without overwhelming you.

‪@ChanticoRitual‬ – Soft, steady, and immersive. The kind of creator who makes even the simplest gameplay feel comforting. Gotta love her voice too!

🎤 The commentators and reactors

‪@wiggiplays‬ – Commentary that pulls you in. It’s not just gameplay—you’re experiencing the game with her.

‪@AllieAftermath‬ – Reactions that feel real. Whether it’s hype, shock, or emotional moments, she brings you along for the ride in the best way.

To all of you, thank you for the laughs, the calm moments, the chaos, and the commentary.

You didn’t just create content. You created space for people like me to feel seen, inspired, and motivated to keep going.

And that? That matters more than you know.
