House of Cars is a place for car buyers to find independent reviews on all the new cars that are on sale in the UK, whether electric, combustion-engined, sports cars, family cars SUVs or small hatchbacks. After a 30 year career in the automotive industry, I take you deeper into the details of all new cars giving you an unbiased and thorough review of your next potential car. Slow cars, fast cars. Old cars, new cars. Small cars, big cars. If you love cars, then you will find them all here in the House of Cars.
So come in and make yourself comfortable.

Tonight's review is of a car far removed from the world of EVs and hybrids (although the model does actually offer a PHEV in its range). It's the wonderfully decadent Bentley Bentayga Atelier Edition, a pure V8-powered luxury SUV. The question is, however, is it a proper Bentley, and more than that, is it relevant in today's more conservative world? Review goes live at 7:30pm as always.
Let me know your thoughts.

House of Cars
Well, what a year 2025 was. In the early hours of this morning I finally finished my final edit of the year, which means that this year I will have published 120 videos. New cars, old cars, small cars, large cars, slow cars and fast cars. I’m so lucky to get to do that job I do, and I never forget that without random strangers who share the same love of the car I do, I would have to get a sensible and normal job. So as I shut the House of Cars Mac down for the last time this year, it would only seem appropriate to say a massive “THANK YOU!” To everyone who watched, liked, subscribed, commented on a silly old Scotsman prattle on about cars. It truly means a lot to me and my family. 2025 was a stepping stone to bigger and brighter things for 2026, an rest assured I’ll be there continuing to bring you reviews and videos about my passion. I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey so far, and buckle up for even more fun a frivolity along the road. Thank you.

House of Cars
As some of you may know, I have taken the decision to step away from my presenting job on AutoEV, a role I have held for over 6 years, to fully concentrate on House of Cars. I want to be very transparent about this, it was a very difficult choice to make as AutoEV has been a huge part of my career and I am very grateful to be able to be able to say that I was a part of the brand and its success. But times change and things move on, and it was, I felt, right for me to move on and give my full attention to my own channel. I wish Rod & Charlie every success with AutoEV, and I am sure they will continue to provide the level of content that the channel has built its reputation on. To everyone who has reached out to me personally and on here, thank you for your kind words of support and please allow AutoEV the chance to reconfigure itself and adapt to the change.
As for me, I aim to continue providing detailed road test reviews that car buyers will hopefully find helpful, stretching across all forms of propulsion, and hopefully some classic car stories and retrospective reviews as well, something that I had always hoped to do on House of Cars. I have been involved in the motor industry all of my life, and never before has there been a more fascinating time to be part of it. Electric cars, combustion engined cars, classics, supercars, hypercars and everything else in between. If there is a better "job" in this world, I have yet to hear about it, and I am thrilled to share this passion with everyone who wants to listen to a silly old Scotsman ramble on about it.
Thank you to everyone for your support, and I hope that you continue to join me on this journey.
