Our cat Dude needs surgery as he has torn his tendon completely :(

When Dude was a kitten, he had broken his back right leg and had to be surrendered. We adopted him when he was all healed up at 7 months old. He's 6 now and up until Thursday the 30th January 2025 he has been healthy, despite being a large boy and on a diet.
On the 30th Jan, he went and completely tore the tendon in his back right leg when playing in our bedroom, and he's not able to walk on it anymore.
Unfortunately this means that Dude needs surgery. We have already paid over $1600 Aud on vet bills over the last week for xrays, blood tests, cat medicine, and vet consults and due to cost of living increases we cannot afford another bill, not even for Zippay.

I have medical issues I have ongoing payments for that I've had to cut down to once a week already for costs.
We've been told a leg amputation will cost up to $4000.00 AUD.

It would be extremely appreciated if we could get the help to pay for Dudes surgery. He's a part of a very loved family, and has a now paired cat buddy, Toby. They absolutely adore each other. From playfighting, to cuddling up on their soft cat bed, to grooming each other. We really don't want to surrender our baby boy, but at the point due to life right now, it's either this or surrendering him as a last resort.

If the surgery ends up being cheaper due to surgery time if we end up getting enough donations, we will donate the remaining money to our local cat haven charity. 💗 I will post regular updates on my Tiktok and will post 2 videos a day over there if you want to follow for updates. One of my favourite clothing pieces is my Abstract art piece that I did with oil pastels a couple of years ago printed on a Graphic T Shirt Dress. I like to tuck it in when I'm feeling a bit self concious, but here's some photos of me wearing it as a dress and tucked in.
