In 2019, three of my original watercolor paintings were exhibited at the Cincinnati Museum Center’s "In The Audubon Tradition" show. It was there that I stood in awe of John James Audubon’s actual, massive elephant sketchbooks. These four historic volumes featured breathtaking, life-sized bird illustrations measuring an incredible 30" x 40". While the originals were safely behind glass, the museum featured a miraculous digital display that allowed us to virtually turn the pages. It was during this unforgettable exhibition that I also had the immense honor of meeting John A.Ruthven, a 94-year-old colleague of Audubon, just months before he passed away.
