When our frontline officers were travelling on the Windrush line in Croydon, their swift response ensured a passenger received urgent care 🧡
During the journey, a passenger collapsed and became unresponsive as the train approached the station. Officers Garry, Francesca, Andrew, Matthew, Andre and William immediately stepped in to assist.
The team quickly cleared space, alerted the driver, and placed the passenger into the recovery position. When he regained consciousness, Francesca provided reassurance while gathering key medical information, as William coordinated with the driver and station staff.
The officers remained with the passenger, keeping him calm and liaising with the ambulance service until paramedics arrived. His condition improved, and he later expressed his gratitude for their support and professionalism.
Thank you to our officers for their calm, professional teamwork in ensuring the passenger received prompt care. 👏

When a customer dropped their phone between the train and platform at St. James’s Park, two of our colleagues were quick to step in and help 📱💙
Station colleagues, Tega and Emmanuel, responded immediately, safely retrieving the phone and supporting the customer, who was clearly shaken by the incident. Tega offered reassurance while helping them regain composure, ensuring they felt calm and supported.
With their phone recovered, the customer was able to continue their journey home, something that wouldn’t have been possible without the team’s assistance, as their ticket was stored on their device.
Remember to take care near the platform edge and never go onto the track. If you drop something, always speak to a member of staff or press the help button, they’re there to help safely.
Thank you to Tega and Emmanuel for their calm, professional response and for putting customer safety first. 👏
