I heard Subway by Chappell Roan and it felt like something I left behind a long time ago. A version of me sitting in a train station, watching people move, feeling like I was supposed to be going somewhere too.
I write songs for that version of me. For the feeling of looking at someone and thinking I wish I knew you in another life. For the weight of a love that almost was, for the silence between sentences that should have been said.
I don’t know. Maybe you get it. Maybe you don’t.
