Super Nicktendo is the home to Retronomics - the series that follows the price trends in video games. I cover a wide variety of systems including the PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Gamecube and MORE!
I ask my subscribers for suggestions so if you have some games that I should cover, subscribe so you'll see when I ask!

In addition to Retronomics, I also make video essays. My latest video explaining why Limited Run Games has lost their way has sparked quite the conversation.
I have more essays on the way including one about the failed console Ouya and the Atari Jaguar.

As a Chicago 90s kid. I can't officially be happy for the Knicks but as an adult I can appreciate the exciting series.

In addition to retronomics video, I'm also working on a video about buying things from Japan. I figured I'd finally buy a Famicom. BUT: Should I get the Twin Famicom from sharp or should I get the AV Famicom? I do like the idea that I can stack the disk system and the AV Famicom and that the controllers are detachable.

Working on getting out my next retronomics video this Wednesday.

I am also working on a new project and would like your input:

What are the games you're most interested in tracking prices on? I have the popular ones but I figured I'd also track fan favorites then release a report every quarter or so.

Working on a few new retronomics episodes. I have one more product review that I need to get out by a specific deadline. I wanted to sprinkle those in but I had a death in the family so that needed to take priority.

Appreciate your understanding and I'm looking forward to putting out another video

The Masters is next week. I picked up the Wii version and it's surprising how accurate it is. I'm gonna make a custom club and get a Wii balance board from goodwill. I'll probably make a video on it as well.

I've been working on some DIY projects in between videos. Some were pretty simple like turning an old phone into a steam deck but other electronics focused projects have not gone well. I've nuked a raspberry pi, ordered the wrong connector and cracked an lcd screen. So while I wait for parts I'll be shifting back to filming retronomics content. I have one script ready for production but I wanted to wait for a little more information before I finalized it.

At the beginning of the year I stated that I wanted to make producing retronomics episodes easier on myself. Prior videos involved me creating spreadsheets, writing scripts then taking that information into after effects and creating animations. A tedious process that never quite matched the vison in my head. I've always wanted to create a dashboard that gave me data instantly based off the filters I gave it and be able to use them in videos. I finally allowed myself to take a break from making videos to focus on it.

So here it is. The Retronomicon. A dashboard containing data and visualizations for my most common talking points. Top 25 movers/losers in a specific period. Top 20 most expensive games, and a breakdown of the library of games for any given system.

I've also been researching more ways to increase the value of the series and the first new feature is Volatility. An analysis on games that are most likely to remain the same or swing one way or the other in price. It'll also give a better idea of where the market of each system is going. I'm using the 3DS as an example here and you can see most of the listings have more or less stabilized in 2025 with a few outliers in yellow.

In addition to systems, I've built a filter for franchises like Silent Hill, Castlevania and Pokemon so expect to see videos about those as well.

I'm still adding features but for now the dashboard is complete enough to use a few videos.
I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions for reporting you'd like to see in future videos.

Working on some videos but I'm also reorganizing my closet. Found two cabinets on Facebook Marketplace that give me walk in access to my stuff. I plan to put a peg board or something in between for some accessories. Probably my light guns. Those are some of my favorite things to collect.

I have decided to list my graded copy of Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS starting at $1 no reserve.

Happy New Year! I wanted to make a video of what you can expect in 2026, but a post will do just fine.

****Retronomics****
While Pricecharting's data is great, it's built for a Point of Sale system which means I have to do a ton of tedious work to build and maintain a reliable dataset for each video which tend to have a shelf life of 4 days before YouTube drops it.
Rather than be frustrated doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result, I have allowed myself to step away and focus on different hobbies that don't involve social media.
And it's been freeing. It's also allowed me to gain a new perspective on how I want this series to run going forward.
In 2026 I'll be making more market summary videos similar to the last one I did. Obviously I'll still be using data to back up my claims, but I'll be changing up how I build and maintain the datasets. Dropping the nerdy stats for more story telling which should result in easier to produce videos that flow a lot easier. I do have plans to supplement the videos with those charts in a different medium but I don't have anything to announce at this time (trying to keep myself focused on one thing at a time)

I'm hoping to put out a top 25 in 25 video by the end of January. I was tempted to drop everything and make a 3DS video, but that can wait.

****Product Reviews****
Speaking of 1 thing at a time. My next video will be on a controller that was sent to me for a review from Gamesir. Call me Super Shilltendo but I do get interesting offers from time to time and It's been a fun change of pace. I also got the MCON from OhSnap that I bought on Kickstarter. There's also a company that's sending me some ear buds which will make their way into a Retronomics episode as an ad spot.
After that, I have some concepts for related videos but again; one thing at a time.

****Tinker Projects/DIY****
This is something that I have been occupying my time with when not making videos. I love creating and fixing things but haven't had the time or space to do them. That changed last year when I repurposed a dresser into a workbench. I want to finish my Mister Case this year along with repurposing my credenza into a more usable piece of furniture. I have spent the past year or so transforming my game room into more of a chill lounge.
I also have some neat projects like a consolized Virtual Boy, Talkboy Repair, and Teddy Ruxpin project that I think will be fun. I also plan on adopting Home Assistant so the Atari VCS will finally have a purpose in my life.

There are some other videos that I have outlined but I just wanted to chime in and let you know how much I appreciate the people who enjoy my videos. I never wanted to do this full time and having a dedicated audience that's there when I post a video gives me that reassurance that I can still make this hobby fun.

Have a great 2026!!!
