Simple daily expressions can make your Arabic sound natural and confident.

This image introduces essential greetings you’ll use from your very first conversations in Arabic.

❇️ صَباحُ الخَيْر
(Ṣabāḥ al-khayr – “Good morning”)
Used when greeting someone in the morning.
Situation: meeting a family member or colleague early in the day.
Example sentence:
صباحُ الخير يا فاطمة.
(Good morning, Fatima.)

❇️ مَساءُ الخَيْر
(Masā’ al-khayr – “Good evening”)
Used when greeting someone in the evening.
Situation: meeting people later in the day.
Example sentence:
مساءُ الخير للجميع.
(Good evening, everyone.)

❇️ كَيفَ حالُكَ؟ / كَيفَ حالُكِ؟
(Kayfa ḥāluka? / Kayfa ḥāluki? – “How are you?” m/f)
Used to ask about someone’s condition politely.
Situation: starting a friendly conversation.
Example sentence:
كيف حالُكَ يا أحمد؟
(How are you, Ahmed?)

❇️ بِخَيْر، الحمدُ لله
(Bikhayr, al-ḥamdu lillāh – “I’m fine, all praise to Allah”)
Used to reply positively when asked how you are.
Situation: responding politely in daily conversation.
Example sentence:
أنا بخير، الحمدُ لله.
(I’m fine, all praise to Allah.)
