MOVIE REVIEW - TRON: ARES (2025).

I watched this for the first time last night and honestly this was so much better than I first expected it to be.

The trailer for the third installment of TRON doesn't really do this film justice and in my personal opinion, completely under sells the movie.

Although most of the acting leaves a lot to be desired, the visuals, futuristic imagery and imaginative tech, as well as the blatent nods to our current technological climate deliver a gripping yet entertaining experience from beginning to end.

The addition of Nine Inch Nails' custom score mixed with the constant references to the eighties also help to make the movie relateable and relevant to the past two installments while still delivering a new, unique storyline for first time viewers.

It's clear that Disney have spent a lot of time and effort in creating Tron: Ares and given the gap in time between this one and legacy it's also evident they haven't just 'jumped into it' either.

Overall, a very enjoyable watch. Not one I'd rush back to watch again, but certainly memorable enough to call back certain points in the movie without effort.
