Pentecost celebrates the promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit now dwells within believers, and we are transformed into the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6:19). He is the Helper, Counselor, and Comforter. He empowers us, renews us, guides us, convicts us, and transforms us into the image of Christ! He can be grieved (Eph 4:30), He searches all things (1 Cor 2:10), He prays on our behalf (Romans 8:26), He gives spiritual gifts (1 Cor 12:11), He teaches us (John 14:26) Holy Spirit seals us and is a pledge of our inheritance (Eph 1:13-14). Holy Spirit is not a force. Holy Spirit is not an "it". Holy Spirit is not the manifestation of God’s power or might — He is God.
Just as the flames fell at Pentecost, may God ignite our hearts with bold faith, unstoppable love, and heavenly purpose. Holy Spirit, turn up the heat!
Burn away fear, awaken zeal, and set our hearts on fire for You. May Your presence ignite bold faith, deeper love, and unstoppable purpose within us.
Let the fire of Pentecost fall again!
