Every time we put out a studio album we're convinced it's “the best album we’ve ever made!” We know that's an absurd thing to say, but it reflects how much of who we are goes into our music. Tripping Over Time is made up of fragments of our lives and our stories all woven together into a collective whole.

Our hope is that the album, in turn, connects into your life and provides meaning/comfort/inspiration/enjoyment to you, wherever you are right now.

MELBOURNE / VIC! We’re so excited to announce that we’re playing Hamer Hall on 15 May 2026 to celebrate our new album Tripping Over Time 🙌

Melbourne has always been the unofficial music capital of Australia – or maybe that’s just us Sydneysiders feeling the pressure of going to the city where the pants and jackets are cut a bit sharper, the shoes are more on trend – and there’s none of the gaudy summery colours of the harbour city where we come from. In the early days, we knew that if you earned the respect of a Melbourne crowd, it was a great show - if you saw a few sets of arms uncross and a few heads nodding in the crowd, you knew it was gonna be a great night in Melbourne.

Melbourne is still the benchmark for us and we love coming there, so much so that we shot the visuals for our new record down in Melbourne and we scoped out Hamer Hall and we thought, “we’ve gotta play here”. It’s been on the bucket list for a while and we’re gonna tick it off.

As always, we want to put on a special night for you, so we’re bringing a very special friend from the other side of the world and his band - an amazing folk band called ‪@bearsdenmusic‬. Davey, the singer and songwriter, came on our first UK tour many moons ago and we think he and the band are rather special and will make for an amazing night.. And it’s the first time we’ve knowingly had two bands with “bear” in the name on the one show!

We’ll be giving you some new tunes but of course we’ll have one eye in the rearview with some tracks from across the Boy & Bear eras.

Another day, another show announce! ADELAIDE / SA we’re heading your way with our friends Cloud Control next year on 2nd May 2026 at the Thebarton Theatre ❤️

Little known fact for all of you from Adelaide.

Dave spent a bunch of years as a kid living in your fine city. His little sister was even born in Adelaide. In fact, we all have a pretty deep connection to the place. Maybe it’s that we all love wine and great pubs 🤷‍♂️

Whatever it is, we love coming to Adelaide and we’re coming back. The Thebby has been renovated since we last played it and we thought why not see what it sounds like. Aaaaand to make it even more special, we’re bringing along some old friends. Cloud Control will be our very special guests for this show. We remember watching these legends when we had just started as a band and loving their records. They’ve been doing other things for a while but they are back and we are truly honoured to have them.

Tickets are onsale Tuesday 16 December at 9am local time. This one is going to be an absolute cracker and we can’t wait for it 🙌

FREMANTLE / PERTH / WA boy do we have news for you! We’re thrilled to announce we’re heading to the Fremantle Arts Centre South Lawn on 1 May 2026 to play for all you lovely people. We'll be joined by our good friends ‪@cloudcontrolband‬ along with some special guests. Having them on the show is going to be magic!!

I remember our first-ever trip to WA as a band. We stayed at a hostel in Scarborough beach. Plastic sheets, plastic mattress covers (they were obviously expecting us) and a 30 second walk to the beach. We watched the sunset over the beach, listening to Powderfinger, wondering if that was why they wrote the song? And we played a grimy little pub gig in Northbridge and had the most incredible and cheap dinner.

I think we were immediately in love with Western Australia. People, despite not knowing any of our music, were very encouraging and the room was probably over half full, which was a big deal to us.

That was 15 years ago and lots of things have changed for us since then. But one thing that hasn't, the love and respect that we feel from you all in WA. It’s genuinely one of our favourite places in the world to come visit and play shows.

Tickets go onsale Tuesday 16 December at 9am local time. We really can’t wait for this show and to be back in the west! See you next May ❤️
