Everybody is mad at Nicki Minaj for sitting down with Erika Kirk… but nobody can clearly say what she said that was actually wrong.

She said “it’s okay if you’re a boy and want to be a boy.”
She didn’t say hate gay people.
She didn’t say erase trans people.
She didn’t say LGBTQ+ folks don’t deserve respect.

She said kids deserve space to be kids without adults rushing to label or politicize them.

Now suddenly she’s “selling out”?
Now she’s “blocking her LGBTQ fans”?
Or is it just that she didn’t repeat the exact script people wanted her to?

And let’s talk about the other part folks are conveniently skipping:
She also said we can uplift Black women without tearing down blonde-hair, blue-eyed women.

Why is that controversial?
Why does pride always have to come with comparison?
Why does empowerment always need a villain?

Y’all swear you want “independent thinkers” until one thinks independently.
You want women to have voices—until they don’t echo yours.

So be honest:
Are people mad at what she said…
Or mad that she said it without permission?
