Happy Sunday everyone!π
Hope you liked the video I posted this morning about my travels in Norway - it's something out of the normal for me but I just fancied putting it up just for the memories and to bridge the gap in the hiatus I've had recently of posting videos π³οΈ
In an aim to be more consistent, I've already edited and scheduled next week's video and the picture is a little sneaky peak on what is to come π
I'd love to know if there's anywhere you'd like me to go or see for videos in the future and see you next Sunday for my next video!βΊοΈ

Happy Saturday everyone!
I hope you've been enjoying the sunshine and the VE Day celebrations this week!π¬π§
I just wanted to let you know that I'm still working on my North East England World War 2/VE Day memories video and didn't want to rush it out for this weekend! I received some really lovely responses, in particular a sentimental voice note and I really want to give each story justice so it's taking longer than I thought! I want this video to be something to look back on for generations to come!
I did however go to Beamish Living Museum on Thursday (VE Day itself) and plan to go again tomorrow so that video will go up first - potentially tomorrow night/ Mondayπ
If you do have any further World War 2/VE Day stories that you'd like to be included in my video, please send them to northeastnostalgic@outlook.com and I'll get them included!
Thank you as always for your support to my channel and my aim to spread the word of North East history π₯°

I need you! π¬π§
The 80th anniversary of VE Day is the 8th May 2025 and I'd love to be able to create something special to commemorate the experiences of those in the North East of England who lived through World War 2, especially as many of those people are now in their 80s and beyond β€οΈ
I feel the voices of the North East in particular sometimes get forgotten and I'd really like to create a video including all your memories and experiences so we never forget those people who gave so much for us.
If you'd like to be involved, please either let me know the memories/experiences in the comments or you can send me an email at northeastnostalgic@outlook.com βΊοΈ
I might also make a video about this to truly share my thoughts!

Happy Sunday!π
I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed my latest video on 3 of my favourite historic gems on Chester Road, Sunderland!
I've been having a think about what you all might like to see on my channel: whether you like the more curated weekly video or prefer more frequent uploads that are less finessed! And also if you like the mix of North East foodie history with interesting snippets of hidden history walks and tours - or want to see something else? π€
I love creating these videos as a creative outlet from a rather chaotic day job so I'd love to know what you'd like to see βΊοΈ
Have a fab week!

Do you want to learn even more Curious Sunderland history? π€
I recently worked with βͺ@sunderlandecho9332β¬ for this fabulous video, featuring the weird and wonderful history of Sunderland! My coastal discoveries bit starts from 3:50 and it was my first go at presenting in front of a camera so I feel super proud π

Thank you for your support so far with North East Nostalgic βΊοΈ
With the idea of progressing this YouTube channel further, I'd love to have your input in what you'd like to see from me!
North East Nostalgic for me encapsulates the history of our region, from spooky stories, the buildings we walk past everyday to the food we know and love π©·
I'm thinking a food history type series (pink slice, black bullets, stottie cake...), history location tours as well as visiting more heritage places within the North East - but I'd love to know if you have anything in particular you'd love to see on this channel!
Thank you so much for all your support yet again, I'm excited to make more videos for you all!π
