Hello everyone
We released a video yesterday experimenting with some new AI video software but received a backlash that Philosophy Vibe was going full "AI Slop". So we wanted to address this.
Firstly - No, we are not going full AI Slop, this was just experimenting to see if this is something we can incorporate in some new content we are thinking about.
However - We need to be honest here, we no longer have the time to maintain this channel. For those who have followed us for years you would have seen that in 2025 we released way fewer videos, and this decrease has been happening for a few years now. In addition, since the popularization of AI, our views, subscribers, revenue have dropped dramatically. Of course students are using AI for their studies more than traditional YouTube videos, completely understandable, the world is changing.
Now this has always been a hobby for us, however as the years have gone on, life has changed; careers, family etc, so add all this up and we cannot dedicate as much time to this channel as we did in the past.
That being the case we are looking for some way to continue but to make the video creation quicker. Seriously, the animation takes a huge amount of time, we know its basic but we're not animators, for us its a lot of work.
The idea was to lean on AI to help us with our videos. Given the backlash yesterday it will NOT be full AI Slop. However moving forward there are only two options we can think of.
Option 1 - Release videos more regularly, however George will narrate and will be there in scenes, but we lean on the AI software for stock footage to cut down the animation.
Option 2 - Our traditional videos (George & John + George solo), however we only release a few a year.
We want your opinion on this, we welcome this, as well as any ideas for content.
