WEMA TALENT SEARCH RESULTS 🎤🔥

Hello everyone,

We received videos from 36 contestants, but our available slots were only 4, representing each county.

Honestly, we would have loved to work with all of you, but the Ksh 25,000 we received limited us. Therefore, we only focused on 4 artists as the budget allowed.

However, in order to maintain gender balance, we went ahead and selected two additional female artists who are highly talented and have great potential. This brought the total number to 6 artists, since many male artists applied.

These are the artists who managed to grab this opportunity after showing great interest in the offer:

1.Onyango Kassam – Ohangla – MIGORI

2.Atis Pesa – Benga – HOMA BAY

3.Ndikli Wuod Ahero – Ohangla – KISUMU

4.Meryl Muziki – Rhumba – SIAYA

5.Brayo Jatexas – Ohangla – HOMA BAY

6.Sharon Nyakasule – Ohangla – KISUMU

NB: Atis Pesa is not an upcoming artist, as many of you know, but he requested the opportunity and was granted a chance to represent the Benga category.

I sincerely thank all of you for responding positively to this call. Together, we shall continue uplifting our music industry.

To the remaining 30 artists, the journey does not stop here. Continue following my wall for more opportunities and good news that may come up. You are all part of us, and we believe there is always a NEXT TIME.

ATTENTION ⚠️ ATTENTION ⚠️ ATTENTION 🚨

Concerning yesterday’s post where I stated that Ksh 25,000 meant to support 5 upcoming artists was paid to WEMA RECORDS from the USA, courtesy of Genius Group, I would like to share the plan moving forward.

Since we have four Luo counties, I thought it would be fair and impactful to select four artists from SIAYA, HOMA BAY, MIGORI, and KISUMU, while also observing gender balance.

On the remaining Ksh 5,000, I would like to invite one of our renowned artists, depending on availability. The amount will cater for some refreshments 😋 as they come to the studio to listen to what our upcoming artists have recorded, encourage them, advise them, and even teach them how to arrange lyrics professionally.

I came up with this idea after witnessing the good hearts shown by celebrated artists like Prince Indah and Musa Jakadalla in supporting uprising stars 🌟 such as Meryl Muziki and Shan. This clearly shows that they desire a brighter future for our upcoming artists.

At least now, these young talents have a platform to showcase their abilities. As a producer, I sincerely say thank you for standing with us in supporting these artists.
