There are three regularly running events in June's Journey that allow you to earn extra rewards through regular game play. These are Help Wanted, Detectives Needed, and Fairground Fortune. While Help Wanted runs continually, DN and FF alternate back and forth and are both tied to HW. I just did a Detectives Needed video Sunday and I've got a followup Fairground Fortune Video today to help you know how to succeed in these bonus events. Starting Monday evening, I plan to post a weekly Island Spotlight video featuring other beautiful Orchid Islands that you all have decorated. I have a few people in the dock for this, but feel free to message me if you'd like me to check out your island. I will keep the islands anonymous with a little spotlight icon covering your name and info that displays when visiting other people's islands, but I am also happy to share profile names if you would like it shown. Looking forward to showing off some amazing islands! Please share if you know someone who is a great decorator.

This is exactly what I was referring to in my video about spending on the game. Because I purchased the Travels pass, I now have been bumped up into the 9.99 tier instead of the 4.99 tier on the deals being offered. I'm going to ignore these offers, and I'll see how long it takes to be offered the lower price points again.
