This area by JFK #inQueens is one of the first spots visitors to our City see, but it had been left dirty for far too long.

Now, the first-ever #NewYorksStrongest Highway Unit is trained, equipped, and on the roads.

When we say we're getting ALL of NYC clean, we mean it. πŸ’ͺ

This SoHo hotel thought it was ok to dump all of their trash out on the sidewalk IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.

Note to @11HowardNYC:

PULL IT TOGETHER.

This isn't the wild west, and there's a new trash sheriff in town. πŸ€ πŸ—‘οΈ

For years, #NewYorksStrongest ate lunch in this building, unaware it was once a segregation-era "Colored School."
Council Member Erik Bottcher and Eric Washington worked with DSNY and the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission to preserve it - and Mayor Eric Adams just made a major investment in ensuring it is never forgotten.

What the buzz is going on? A derelict trash container - attracting dumpers like bees to a honeypot...🐝🍯

But no more. DSNY swarmed the area and provided sweet relief for residents of Hunts Point in the Bronx. See an area in need of attention? Let us know by calling 311.

This is interesting:

We caught these dumpers IN THE ACT! They were leaving construction material and debris by Starrett City #Brooklyn.

Oh, and the truck was UNREGISTERED, UNINSURED and UNLICENSED. An easy way to earn yourself five summonses and an impounded truck.

But there's more:

We figured out that OUR CAMERAS also captured these SAME dumpers a couple weeks prior. So much for junk removal.πŸ™„

Maybe they thought they could get away with making a mess of Council Member Barron's district? NOPE!

They earned themselves another summons.

Don't dump on our City.πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Here's some simple math we can all understand.

Later setout times + earlier pickups = trash sits out less. Taken together, it’s a TRASH REVOLUTION.

Two weeks ago, we released the playbook for finally getting the black bags off the street, at NYC.gov/futureoftrash.

Now, we're running the plays.
