Living in Canada in Zone 5 means that growing food outdoors is not a year-round event. In an effort to increase my self-sufficiency and the amount of organic homegrown food that I can produce I started looking to what and how I could grow year-round by growing inside. I primarily rely on growing food hydroponically using multiple AeroGardens, my Click & Grow 25 and my two Rise Gardens. Though, I do also use my grow tent, grow lights and also grow using mushroom kits.

To most this would look like a sad little tomato plant. But it is over a year old, planted by my mum not long before she passed away. It has given my dad tomatoes for a year while he was learning to navigate the world without my mum.
