We are Daiva 🇱🇹 & Mikhael 🇫🇮, a retired family, who left Helsinki in 2023 for a 100-year-old rural homestead in Lithuania. Back in the day Daiva — biologist educator, tour guide & built a campsite Camper Place Pajiesmeniai in LT from the ground up. Mikhael ruled the roads in FIN as a bus driver.
Now we restore our countryside home, grow a small organic garden, live more self-sufficiently and go on meaningful camper van travels across Europe.
We also volunteer at Camper Place Pajiesmeniai in Lithuania — a cozy campsite now run by the next generation.
JUDESY (LT) means “In Motion” — because even a slow life keeps moving.

A NEW UPCOMING MILESTONE ON OUR CHANNEL! What is it?

Is it about the fact that we didn’t upload any videos or shorts for the past two weeks? And that we weren’t just being lazy? Well, yes — that too. No excuses though. It’s just the background story…
For ten days we were traveling around Lithuania, moving toward the Curonian Spit. And after returning, we were immediately pulled into work around our homestead. Spring, after all: sowing, planting, clearing every corner, mulching, harvesting the first greens, rescuing the greenhouse…
And of course, our wonderful trip in our camper through beautiful places in Lithuania was also not exactly a “lazy break” — it was more like active relaxation.
We visited all the villages of Neringa one by one. We started in Smiltyne — the part of Klaipeda that you can only reach by ferry across the Curonian Lagoon. Mikhael had never been there before, while Daiva was born and raised nearby. So first, Mikhael was taken to the Sea Museum, located in the former Kopgalis fortress right at the harbor gates to the sea. Of course — that’s a must-see in Smiltynė. We even stayed overnight there.
And then the real adventure began: overnight stays in Juodkrante, Pervalka, Preila, and Nida… The smell of the sea and pine forests, walks across the highest dunes in the Baltic region, and that breathtaking meeting of Europe’s largest dunes with the Baltic Sea.
Wind. Sunny days and rainy days. Peace. Since it was still before the tourist season.
Very soon we will release a new video about our life in the Curonian Spit in a camper. But…
Here comes the twist: during this trip, more than ever before, we realized we need BETTER TRAVEL FILMING EQUIPMENT. Phones were not enough. We do have cameras, but in such beautiful places you need better tools — so the footage doesn’t shake, the horizon stays level, and so on. Since this is quite an investment, we studied it carefully, but ultimately entrusted the decision and ordering to our daughters! And within just a couple of days — a DREAM BECAME REALITY. Yesterday it arrived. Ha! And skills, you may ask? Well… we learn all our lives.
