Storytime 🥹 My First Mousse-Only Braidout on Clean Hair! 🥳

I made an impromptu purchase of the Eco Style 5-In-1 Styling Foam and am thoroughly impressed!!

It was $9 for 8oz at my local Dollar General and I decided to use it for this experiment so that I didn’t use up the good stuff (Frizz Patrol, iykyk 🤣).

I used the Én Love Moisture Crush Leave In and 5-7 pumps of foam for each braid. Note: that was entirely too much and I did get some flurries as a result…but I’m still pleased!! Here are my pros and cons!

Pros:
🥹Affordable
🥹Slippery Application
🥹Moisturizing
🥹Glycerin-Free (!!!)
🥹Neutral Scent
🥹Lots of Definition (Shingled Look)
🥹Dried with a Soft, Crunch-Free Hold
🥹Adds Shine
🥹Has Dimethicone (7th Ingredient)
🥹Has Polysorbate 20, PVP, and Polyquat-55 in the Top 6 ingredients.

Cons:
🥺Tacky and Borderline Sticky While Damp
🥺Can Cause Flurries if Over Applied 🙃
🥺Has a Semi-Bubbly Consistency (I’d say the texture is a mix between Mousse Def and Crazy Sexy Curl)

I plan to try it again and be less heavy-handed, but overall it’s a winner! Have you heard of this foam before?
