"Join us as we dive a famous and unique dive site in Cozumel, Mexico, Pared de San Juan! This site is on the northern side of the island which often features a heavy current. Combine that with the topography of the wall, which is a long coral plateau that overlooks a deep drop off, and you have the perfect feeding ground for many Eagle Rays! The Eagle Rays like to fly together in the early morning, catching the big swells of current right up against the wall and using the free-flowing movement to filter feed and catch many nutrients floating in the water. When they tire of feeding or if they feel they want to clean up from all the good food, there is an amazing long coral plateau full of reef fish and cleaner fish that are waiting for a larger pelagic animal to bring them a free meal. Symbiotic relationships in the ocean are absolutely incredible! We can use these different details to recognize why a particular dive site has the amazing abundance of life that it boasts. This place happens to be the ideal habitat for this animal; thus, we know it as Eagle Ray heaven. This is a dive site that we had been waiting to explore, and I am grateful to have done it with our Want To Sea The World Team. It's a privilege to continue diving and exploring together. I am excited for our next adventure to another exciting and unique destination, Mahahual. Let's continue to find ourselves in this water, encountering new things and connecting deeper to the world!"

"We journey throughout the world filming things from two cameras and two perspectives. Oftentimes we take those two perspectives, and we meld them to form one compilation that then encompasses the overall experience of that day. In this instance, we took only shots from each camera to create two videos highlighting two different perspectives. This video highlights the shots that Tony took on this day of scuba diving, and the last video highlights Carlos' shots. We began our journey with one camera that we shared underwater, and it is a joyous opportunity to continue to create our videos in the spirit of Los Ojos De Los Leones. Two cameras, two eyes, two perspectives, and one compiled vision. What would it look like to only see through one eye? Perhaps then our vision would lack depth, or range. Grateful to keep on the path with both eyes peeled and to take the time to look through each eye and see what can be gleaned from one perspective and the other."

"Tony and Carlos witnessed a total solar eclipse in August of 2017, and since then we have forged an intention to spend more time watching the movements of the stars and celestial bodies and resonating with their significance in our own personal lives. This was a particularly special one, here we are in Cozumel Mexico celebrating Sarah's 25th birthday and we receive word from our friend Aku that the planetarium is hosting a free event at 3 in the morning for the opportunity to view a total lunar eclipse. We hop into a cab in the early morning in the darkness and make our way to "CHA'AN KA'AN" which is a Mayan phrase that translates to observing the stars. The moon is just beginning to shift as the darkness of the shadow eats away at the light. Very slowly, much more slowly than the pace of the solar eclipse, the moon is eventually shrouded in shadow, and then the red light from the edges becomes visible like a halo. I am grateful to have chosen to be here for this moment to be manifested. It would have been easy to sleep in, to have chosen not to go, to have chosen something else which would have its own value as well. The growth is available everywhere and every opportunity we are presented with has value. I am grateful to continue choosing the opportunities that resonate with me and with our community and bringing those to life. The chance to reflect while turning 25 years old under the light of the blood moon on this island that has brought us so much enrichment in life, these are the impacts that we create on the journey together."

"Cozumel is a place where we have grown roots over the course of many years of time invested. As our roots grow, our branches strengthen and continue to grant us the capacity to bridge many continents around this world. That process continues, as we enjoy the fruits of our endeavors, new seeds from the fruit are planted and begin growing their own sprouts. The fruit is visible; the process is being seen from seed to tree to fruit back to seed. As the seed grows from husk that once protected it, its former version cracks and the next phase of development can occur. That is where I find myself, breaking through the former husk with gratitude for my protection and embracing the next phase of development that can occur if I allow it. The roots that nourish this trunk and the branches that have shown already how far they can grow are reassurance that more fruit will come, and more seeds of potential can be grown from that fruit. I am thankful for this community, Want To Sea The World, is an incredible sapling in this forest that we have grown together on its way to being a towering Ceiba Tree the size of a mountain. I intend to continue investing in this dream, by blowing bubbles and connecting with community in shared travel endeavors and finding gratitude for the process."

"Thanks, community, for finding yourself in this water with us! Maldives in August has been unforgettable journey. Making it happen together is the way we have done it and continuing on this path is a privilege and a pleasure. On this path we are learning lots and connecting with diverse and unique groups of people. Being aboard this liveaboard with many other experienced divers like Dave, Jan, Simon, Will, and Belle and hearing their stories and the similar and different places they have visited in their extensive dive careers inspires us to Sea more of the World. We are enriched by the opportunity to share the journey, and we offer that to this community so that others can experience the comfort of sailing the open ocean together. We recognize that in order to scuba dive, we are enduring various discomforts that would otherwise perhaps direct us elsewhere. Possible seasickness, potential cold water, tiredness, unforeseen conditions underwater. Yet by encountering the circumstances together and offsetting discomfort with the marvels of the ocean we persistently thrive in these adventures and continue to find ourselves feeling one of the most important things, the WANT to Sea the World. "Visibility is hugely impactful to the experience of Scuba Diving. Sometimes you are in the water with some incredible Marine animals, and the visibility is so bad you are unable to see or appreciate them. Some Marine animals are attracted to the nutrients or the cold that lower visibility can sometimes bring, so the only way to see them normally is in less-than-ideal conditions. There are those impressive times when the trifecta of all of the components comes together, and you see amazing Marine animals with great visibility and little current. However, for the most part, Scuba Diving is a practice of balancing those elements in a way that is safe, achievable, and enjoyable. There are places where there are certainly abundant Marine animals who live happily but the conditions would make it incredibly challenging to dive. We like to push the boundary and dive adventurously at the very edge of where the balance is being met. Our preference is generally for great visibility, warm water temperatures, and gentle currents. However, we acknowledge that sometimes those conditions don't lead to the most abundant setting for the wildlife. So, we choose to dive in both the low vis, in the manta green, in the cold, in the raging current of the ocean and in the perfect conditions. This is how we Want To Sea The World."

"What is life without a bit of challenge? That is the question that Maldives continues to pose. Challenges are there to be overcome and the growth that comes from deepening our understanding is a sweet reward. We are sometimes unaware that the challenge is coming and when it presents itself it doesn't wait for our acceptance. Tony often says something that he learned from a good friend, "Life presents itself, and then what do you want to do?" The time aboard the Nautilus Two has been an amazing journey. I'm so glad to have been present for these challenges and chosen to accept them and grow and in doing so the reward is a greater appreciation for the moments that have the capacity to challenge us. We had the opportunity to witness a beautiful sunrise and sunset, to connect with a unique group of human beings diving alongside us, and to witness amazing marine animals in action. We dove in remote waters and utilized incredible technology to breathe underwater and fly like eagle rays in the face of immense currents. I'm excited to continue on this path that we are on, because I know that it leads me to more opportunities to find MYSELF in this water! Thankful to walk this path with this community and bring more of these unique humans into the water to have this shared experience."

"We began the beautiful day of August 26th at South Ari Atoll. We did two dives full of adrenaline and intensity and then crossed a massive chunk of ocean to end the day at the next atoll, Vaavu. We had the opportunity to experience a sunset dive at Vaavu, and the Nurse Sharks of Alimata Jetty did not disappoint. Over the course of the dive, I estimate that we saw over 100 Nurse Sharks in a single dive site. Maldives is a place that we will certainly return to dive more. It has that mix of intensity and abundance that pushes us to the next level as Scuba Divers and World Travelers. We are excited for the upcoming opportunities to dive as a community; we have set the intention and have begun planning the specifics of our Cozumel adventure. Carlos and Sarah intend to be there from March 1st to the 18th celebrating Sarah's birthday as well as our continued endeavors as a community. We will night dive and we will day dive! We will Temazcal as a community and create our own private ceremony. We will connect with the island and with our dear friends and expand on our opportunities to spend more time in Cozumel and around the world. In the next few days, we intend to run the Want To Sea The World raffle and see which lucky community member will win a plane ticket to Mexico to share this adventure with us.
