🇵🇦 Five years ago today, I became a permanent resident of Panama.
When I received my residency, I never imagined where this journey would lead.
Since then, I’ve built a new life, earned Jamaican citizenship, visited 14 countries, left a career of more than 20 years, started a YouTube channel that has grown into an incredible community, and discovered a version of myself I didn’t know existed.
Panama has challenged me, humbled me, and given me opportunities I never expected.
For me, Panama was never just another country on a map. It’s part of my family’s story. Long before I became a permanent resident, my ancestors were helping shape the history of this country. So becoming a resident wasn’t just starting a new chapter—it felt like coming full circle.
Looking back, becoming a resident wasn’t just about paperwork.
It was about reconnecting with my family’s past while building my own future.
