Today is my birthday. I am turning 56. When I look at this picture, you might think I am moving farther and farther away from this little girl. I now have wrinkles, gray hair, and a slower step. But in all actuality, I am discovering her again. She was confident in who she was, she loved the Lord with all her heart, and she was courageous.

The Bible tells us that we must have childlike faith. Matthew 18:3 says, “Truly I tell you,” he said, “unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” That means staying humble, trusting in the Lord for all our needs, and being teachable. All the things I was when I was a child.

I used to wish I could go back and warn this little girl about what was coming, to make different decisions, to choose differently. But every choice and decision has brought me to today, and who God has been refining. I am grateful for God’s redemption, restoration, and unending grace. I am grateful for 56 years. I am grateful for the journey. Happy Birthday, Ammie Lynn. Keep going… ❤

My friends, I don't know what you're facing today, but God's got this. He is the same God who split the Red Sea. The same God who helped David slay the giant. The same God who sent His Son to give us everlasting life. Don't allow the enemy to instill fear and doubt. He is the same God, yesterday, today, and forever! Trust Him, and believe in His promises!

Who doesn't like the easy button, especially on a Monday. But l've discovered that we learn and grow not in the easy times, but when the road is hard and the path is unclear. When we are reaching out to God and inviting Him into our life, into our situation, into our trial. When we do that, He makes the impossible - possible. And in the process we become more like Him. ❤️

Dear Lord,
You know what this day entails. I cannot do one single thing without You and Your strength. May my words be Your Words. May my actions be Your actions. May I carry Your peace and love throughout the day and extend to each person I meet. Thank you for walking with me. Thank you for Your love. Thank you for what You are going to do today, in me. I love You and praise You and ask all of these things in Your precious name.

What if the key to true joy isn't adding more to your life, but taking something off?

In Israel, our teacher asked us to remove our hiking boots and walk barefoot on rocky terrain. Suddenly, every step required intention, awareness, and trust. This is what it looks like to roll your life onto God's path—slow, deliberate, dependent.

We love our "hiking boots"—the confidence to go wherever we want, whenever we want. But John 15 calls us to something different: "Remain in me, and I will remain in you... I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete."

Joy isn't found in control. It's found in surrender. It's a daily choice to take off the boots, step onto His path, and follow the Shepherd—even when it's uncomfortable. But we can do it when we remain in Him. In Him, we will have our joy!

Relationships aren't automatic. They take intentionality. And your relationship with God is no different. It requires trust, obedience, worship, prayer, and daily choice. Some days you'll get it right. Some days you'll stumble. But He's not going anywhere. This is covenant. This is the bride and bridegroom. Through good times and bad, sickness and health, He remains faithful.
