TOOLS DE POET is a South African poet, author, songwriter, and singer. She was born Anovuyo Thuliswa Tshoka in Cape Town.
Tools’ journey in art is still unfolding, however she has already had highlights in her career including scooping the Best Poet award, and Best Developed award in Ukhonukamva National Gospel Music Awards in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Tools De Poet is a consummate performer and orator. She performs her poems on various platforms including church, corporate, and family events.
Tools’ published catalogue is growing by day. In 2021 she featured in BABY DADDY a song by Afro-fusion artist Zizikazi which addresses the important issue of absenteeism of fathers.
Tools De Poet has just released her own debut Gospel single, a collaborative effort with Q. Mpumelelo called ASINAVALO. Her follow up single is called IMBOKODO DE ROCK and celebrates women for their strength and love whilst simultaneously lamenting their abuse.
