Roblox Longplays is an archival project created by Hollo the Raven.

The goal of Roblox Longplays is to provide high quality gameplay footage of Roblox games throughout the platform's history. Each longplay is made with the goal of documenting a game as thoroughly as possible, but they may not always feature all of that game's content.

Roblox Longplays

Following up on the Elements of Robloxia posting, I've also uncovered some publicly available assets that were made for Bloxxy-Tooie and Quest to the Guest:

The first two models were found by simply searching for "radiogamer" on the free model catalog. "Reverse Fire Bros. (Fixed!!) For: radiogamer (Vete" by vetexgames (Image 1) is a two-stack of fire totems, of which the top one spins rapidly. They were likely intended to be used as an enemy in Bloxxy-Tooie but never made it into the final product. It can be found here: www.roblox.com/library/50218524/Reverse-Fire-Bros-…

The second model is "Fixed boss (for radiogamer)" by Polyhex (Image 2). It's Targitzan's head, and its description includes vague instructions on how to use this piece to build the rest of the boss. It can be found here: www.roblox.com/library/26399300/Fixed-boss-for-rad…

The third model is something I recently uploaded. "A ROBLOX Quest: Quest to the Guest Adventure Kit" by HolloTheRaven (Image 3) is a collection of objects that were used in Quest to the Guest, originally uploaded by radiogamer so that other users could build their own adventure games without scripting knowledge.
The original version of this model doesn't seem to be available anymore and I can't find it in my inventory, but I discovered reskinned versions of all of these objects in one of my old unfinished games, so I reassembled all of the pieces and put them back on the site for historical purposes. It's not a perfectly accurate recreation of the asset kit (some of the brick materials/colors were changed and every instance of the word "Orb" was changed to "Key." The GUI element that is supposed to appear when collecting and orb also isn't present in this model, but I'm not sure why), but the code is left mostly untouched.

The QttG asset kit also reveals some more information about the production of that game. The core systems were largely developed by Polyhex, and they primarily worked on the orb and checkpoint code; the pull star code was also partially developed by Polyhex, but another user known as Starman wrote the bulk of it; and the launch star, while seemingly from Super ROBLOX Galaxy, is actually a recreation by bob10110.

Roblox Longplays

According to the one source I could find on the matter, today marks the 9 year anniversary of Elements of Robloxia!

While the addition of the Grand Master challenge (02/25/23) was the most significant recent update, I noticed several smaller changes during my second longplay that I wanted to document, but didn't have enough text space to do so in the video description.

Some minor differences between both of my longplays are apparent and include: a complete soundtrack replacement (likely added shortly after the NMPA lawsuit); dialogue boxes are fixed; Dr. Rad's teleporter menu, the companion menu, and the equipable orb menu now use ViewportFrames (added between 03/03 and 03/06); power-ups use meshes instead of decals (the Float and Ghost power-ups are represented by semitransparent meshes, but in the longplay they become opaque after being collected. This has since been fixed); dash slopes are easier to run up; the sinking platforms in BlastBang Volcano have a new texture; party crackers cost in-game visors instead of robux; objects that previously used ClickDetectors now use ProximityPrompts; the Ghost King chase uses a different camera angle; the large balls in Roblox Fun Fair and BlastBang Volcano have reset buttons and despawn if the player strays too far; the addition of an intro cutscene for the Light Temple; goombs had their official names changed to grumbs (Meggrumb was mistakenly referred to as Meggoomb by one of Graciela's hints in the longplay, but this has since been fixed); and cutscenes use the player's display name instead of their username. A glitch that allowed the player to beat The Arena without entering any battles (performed by quickly touching the teleport brick immediately after another player) was patched.

However, the game has continued to receive changes after my longplay. Here are all that I've found so far, depicted with images:

(Image 1 is the Fredegy Guide's page for the Grand Master Challenge, which I forgot to read during the longplay.)

(Image 2) The orb and equipable orbs in Fred's shop now become semitransparent after purchase.
(Image 3) A midway checkpoint was added to the Grand Master Challenge (which included a message in the description saying "You win... for now.")
(Image 4) The HUD was given a visual redesign (the save and total menus remain the same. The View Totals button seems to be broken only in Adventure Island). The Fredegy Guide also had its formatting changed to use sideways scrollbars (which was a terrible idea, I'm not sure why radiogamer did that).
(Image 5) Lenaru was added as a minor NPC with dialogue, which goes as follows:

"Hey there! You seem to look like an adventurer, just like me!"
>(Continue)
"You look familiar though... Haven't we met before in some other desert?"
>I don't think so.
"Huh? Maybe I'm just imagining things."
>(Continue)
"Anyway, I'm Lenaru."
>What are you doing here?
"I'm exploring the world for all kinds of new things to discover."
>(Continue)
"I have a particular interest in deserts, and I happen to stumble upon this unknown one!"
>(Continue)
"Being my first new discovery, I had to name it after myself!"
>(Continue)
"It seems to be filled with history. This desert used to be a flourishing forest with an ancient tribe inhabiting it."
>(Continue)
"Who knows what more secrets this sand hides!"

(It was at this point that I realized radiogamer's new dialogue box system doesn't time out if you take too long to respond, interestingly enough. "Goodbye!" is also no longer an option on the second to last dialogue choice.)

Earlier today, radiogamer announced adding shift lock functionality to consoles and mobile (toggled by pressing Y and an on-screen button respectively) with Ched Lee's dialogue being revised to mention this. His new dialogue goes as follows:

"Hey, you look like the type for this game!" (Note the double space.)
>What game?
"This here is the "Noob-ball" booth by yours truly Ched Lee!"
>Noob-ball?
"Yep. It's like baseball, but with noobs as the ball."
>(Continue)
"You just have to bash them against a target to get to the next level."
>(Continue)
"Cameralock helps with your aim. You can do so with either Shift (PC), Y-button (Controller) or the icon on the top left (Touch)." (This dialogue box extends to 4 lines, which is more than was allowed under the legacy chat bubble system.)
>(Continue)
"Happy bashing in there!"

Aside from updates, there are some minor details and glitches regarding the game that I noticed off camera:
Dying to Dark Grooxe while he's floating will cause him to not come back down and remain floating when the fight restarts. He still teleports, but immediately flies back to his previous position in the air. This fixes itself once he reaches his clone phase.
The Ghost King chase in the Ghastly Mansion overrides typical camera controls, but doesn't reset upon death, meaning that the only way to restore the player's camera is to finish the mission.
The Drake companion damages regular enemies but often does nothing to the bosses, as most of them only take damage from key items. However, it can attack Meggrumb, Phantom Orb Phase 1, and Darak, who all take damage from nonspecific sources.

Roblox Longplays

Today marks the 5th anniversary of Roblox Longplays!

I'll be disappearing for a while again to gather more footage of interesting games. I've made a lot of progress in documenting everything that I can & want, but I've still got quite a ways to go before this project reaches its unofficial "end" point. (There will always be more games to check out, of course, but I hope to get more or less caught up on Roblox's 10+ years of history before long.)

Now that I have access to community posts, I may use them to show little pieces of games that I failed to record, as well as to highlight certain games and explain why I wanted to create longplays for them. For now, here's some screenshots from Find Everything; the last three images are of updates that were made shortly after my initial recording, and the first two are simply for fun.
