Everything new is old.

The premise is simple. You know that thing everyone's losing their minds over? The thing that feels brand new and totally unprecedented? Well, it’s happened before. At least a version of it. Each episode picks one thing that culture seems to think is totally new, or unique to our current era, and pulls the thread back through time. Sometimes decades. Sometimes centuries. The connections are wild, specific, and often funny. He's not doing this to be smug. He does it because context is a painkiller. And the 'next big thing' is usually the last big thing in a new outfit.
