Think you can’t cook?
That’s not true! —it’s a myth you’ve picked up somewhere along the way.
I’ve heard every reason why people avoid the kitchen:
❌ "I’m not a natural cook, you won't be able to eat what I cook "
❌ "Healthy meals take too long"
❌ "I always mess it up"
❌ "Cooking = piles of dirty dishes, can't think of the cleaning afterwards"
❌ "I’m too tired after work"
But here's the truth no one's told you:
Cooking isn’t a talent you’re born with—it’s a skill you build. Maybe you are just not there YET!
Just like driving, just like lifting weights, just like learning to speak a new language, we learn to cook.
Let’s bust these myths together:
💭 Myth #1: “I’m not a natural cook.”
📌 Reframe: No one is. Cooking is a muscle, and you build it through reps. Not recipes.
⏱️ Myth #2: “Healthy meals take too long.”
📌 Reframe: With a few go-to dishes and smart prep, real food takes 15–20 minutes. Faster than most deliveries.
🔥 Myth #3: “I always mess it up.”
📌 Reframe: Mistakes mean you’re trying—and that’s where growth happens. Chefs mess up, too. They just know how to recover.
🍽️ Myth #4: “Cooking means a mountain of dishes.”
📌 Reframe: One-pan meals. No-fuss cleanup. Your kitchen doesn’t need to become a war zone.
⚡ Myth #5: “I’m too tired to cook.
📌 Reframe: Cooking can restore energy. When you fuel your body with care, it returns the favor.
💡 Mindset > Master chef skills.
If you can learn to text, Zoom, or drive a car—you can learn to cook for yourself. No perfection required.
Let’s try cooking this week. Something simple.
Comment below- what you cooked/ tried to cook, and what did you think of it?
