Welcome to my channel! My name is Kia and I am an online ESL teacher. I'm so glad you are here! I created this channel to help the "non-teacher" like myself, get started in the world of online teaching. If you want to start working from home teaching English as a second language but do not think you are qualified, do not know where to begin or not sure how to do so, then my channel is a great resource for you! I do not have a background in Education, (don't worry, this is not necessary) however I have been successful in applying, interviewing, and getting hired by 4 different ESL companies in less than 40 days! Hello everyone! Happy Thursday ☺️. I have an update about Education First (not a positive one). It appears interviews scheduled for this week until the end of the month are being canceled. I’m not sure what the reason is exactly but I believe they are slowing down on hiring teachers at the moment. If this changes, I will let you know! 😉

According to my local library, August is ESL month. I find this very interesting considering this is the month when China has cracked down on online tutoring and one of the “giants” in the ESL industry abruptly closed down as of today with no warning or preparation time for students or teachers. #theirony 🤔
