The Sri Lanka Medical Council, established in the year 1927, functions as the statutory authority empowered to regulate the medical profession in Sri Lanka. Operating under the provisions of the Medical Ordinance (Chapter 105), the Council plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality, ethics, and standards of medical and allied health practice across the country.

This official page serves as a central platform for sharing important and verified information with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, students, and the general public. Through this page, the Council will disseminate authoritative updates on registration processes, examination-related announcements including ERPM and other professional assessments, restoration procedures, disciplinary actions, code of ethics, and other regulatory matters relevant to the profession.
