Where Booktube meets the Tudorverse! This is a carefully chosen intersection as I write fiction set in the Tudor Era (The Seymour Saga was my first trilogy, now I'm working on Regina) and inhale all the non-fiction about the times...
PS while I am not personally sure there is such a thing as too much Tudor, other people tell me there is. You be the judge!

Too Much Tudor

Only one book this week - not quite enough for a “haul”! You’ll have to wait until next week to hear me shoehorn this into my Tudors theme!

Too Much Tudor

Nano update: about to start this morning's first sprint, but ended yesterday at 10,987 words. That is a little ahead of pace (10,000) but not far enough ahead to earn me Thanksgiving off...I'm hoping to pull ahead this weekend with some of the advice in the panel I was on recently ;)

Too Much Tudor

NaNo update: 1,718 words. Usually I’d shoot for 2,000 (I like to build a good cushion) but I have some reading to get to! (This made me rearrange the list I assembled just three days ago….sigh)

Too Much Tudor

It's this weekend! In-person tickets are sold out, but online tickets are still available at Englandcast.com. I'll be part of an author/publishing roundtable with Carol-Ann Lloyd (who writes wonderful nonfiction) and Katharine Sands (of the Sarah Jane Freymann Literary Agency).

Just got the notice from BookBub that this book was on sale for $1.99. This is a must-have, perfect for existing Tudor fans and to pull in new converts!

Too Much Tudor

Thank you to the viewer who reached out to tell me I needed to include my own books on my shelves. Six Marriages now sits with the general (non-Elizabeth) Tudor nonfiction (other than Strickland, who gets her own half-shelf), and my books get to live right next to Wolf Hall (my shelves, my rules!).

Too Much Tudor

With TudorCon 2025 coming soon (there are still tickets available), ‪@hteysko‬ is posting the talks from last year. Here's mine on Douglas Howard, who has one of those quintessential Tudor stories that I will write someday (when I'm done with Elizabeth!)...

Too Much Tudor

Recently I was on a panel, and my own answers were pretty much the opposite of everyone else’s…sigh. The biggest disconnect? At around 56:33 in, the minimal compassion I had for one of their biggest issues: finding names for their characters!
