POP LIVES DEEP DIVES:
Sinnik22 are extreme explainers with regard to pop culture.

We conceived our 1st series, "ONCE UPON A TIME IN MINNEAPOLIS" after watching "the Martian" with a friend.
A few minutes into the movie we hear the David Bowie song "Starman".

Her: "Cool song".
Me: "Bowie?"
Her: "Bowie...are they good?"

How could someone in their 30's not know about David Bowie? I explained to her how famous he is. I use the word "is" because at the time of the conversation, David Bowie was alive. The very next day news of his passing went global. She called me and said..."I get it".

Prince died 3 months later.

Some people should not be forgotten.

ONCE UPON A TIME in MINNEAPOLIS focuses squarely on Prince Rogers Nelson's career odyssey and ongoing impact on culture.

Was Prince a mysterious force of nature/media creation, or was he the hardest working pop star ever? How did his battle for artist freedom shape those who came after him?
