I’m saddened today to have to address an “Elder and Christian Apologist” who I respect highly, brother Damon Richardson.

For a season, efforts were made to address concerns directly, biblically, and in private. However, due to his disorderly behavior in private (with moderators) and a refusal ON HIS PART to “agree to disagree” in love, those conversations have now ceased. The moderators can confirm this.

Furthermore, what was once private has now been made public through his ongoing actions, specifically, public attacks directed toward my home church, myself, and other Christian believers. Good Christians should be able to disagree, express their disagreements in love, and continue fellowship. However, because of these immature public tantrums, the matter can no longer remain private.

Scripture is clear that while we pursue reconciliation and restoration in humility, there also comes a time to identify and address disorder when it persists openly and without repentance (2 Thessalonians 3:6, Romans 16:17).

In addition, I’m saddened that many in his direct circle, who agree (in private) that much of his behavior is unwise, for whatever reason, they refuse to hold him accountable.

Therefore, out of a responsibility to uphold truth, protect the body, and maintain biblical order, I will now be addressing this situation publicly in a live video discussion later today.

This is not being done out of malice or personal offense, but out of a commitment to biblical integrity, accountability, and the care of Christ’s church.

I ask for your prayers, discernment, and sobriety as this matter is handled in a way that seeks to honor the Lord and His Word.

(I’m still open to reconciliation and restoration if someone is able to talk him into a peaceful resolution, but I’m doubtful they will prevail).

It’s time we stop treating this Catholic-leaning new sect with gloves treatment. They should be handled in the same way we’ve had to deal with the Hebrew Israelite movement.

We’ve hugged long enough.
• They teach a form of works-based salvation, undermining justification by faith alone
• They deny the sufficiency and final authority of Scripture, elevating tradition to an equal or higher place
• They exalt Mary beyond biblical warrant, crossing into territory Scripture never authorizes—dangerously close to idolatry

This isn’t “deep theology.”
It’s old error in new packaging.

The Church doesn’t need to be mean, but it must be faithful.
Unity without truth is not unity at all.
