Hi there! 🥰🫂🥹✨: ko-fi.com/buyablackwomanlunch

We (Black women and those who love them) are raising up those who lift us up, everyday. We are honoring Black women who often go overlooked and under supported.

My goal is to raise 500 dollars to fund 10 Black women's lunch. Once we reach that goal, Black women can apply and can get a lunch on us, the community, as a small gesture of gratitude.

My goal is to raise up those Black women who lift us up, everyday. Let's celebrate them.

These are our teachers, healers, care-takers. These are our friends, our sisters, mothers and aunties. These are Black women who work in food service, interpreters, artists, gig-workers, the self employed. This is for the neighborhood watchers, the child care providers and the sex workers. This is in honor of those who are caring for others, who may not be on payroll.

My goal is to raise 500 dollars to fund 10 Black women's lunch. Once we reach that goal, we send 10 Black women lunch, and the goal resets.

ko-fi.com/buyablackwomanlunch

Black women are encouraged to apply especially if they are students, gig workers, day laborers, care takers, teachers, sex workers, food service workers, if you work in retail or hospitality, artists, creators, entrepreneurs, government employees, nurses, professors (especially non-tenure track (NTT) professors), those who make minimum wage (or not too far above it), especially those "in-between blessings", if you receive disability benefits, if you receive unemployment benefits, those belonging to "the working class", the impoverished, those who need it.

Thank you so much for honoring and loving on Black women. Your kindness and generosity is received with much gratitude and giddy excitement! May your generosity and kindness be returned to you 100 fold.

Yay.

My heart is so happy.

Thank you for loving on and supporting Black women: ko-fi.com/buyablackwomanlunch

Hiiiiiieeee! Happy Monday! I hope this finds you smiling, breathing deeply and with your jaw relaxed. 🥰🌺🪷🪻🌞

I'm working on something, and I have a couple of questions for those who don't mind answering *(especially if you are a teacher, social worker, artist, are self employed, are a gig-worker, direct support professional, interpreter, retail worker, server, fast food crew member, a member of the "working class", combination of any, etc.)* :

1. How much do you, on average, spend on lunch (like a *GOOD* lunch)?
2. How much are your groceries for the month (on average)?
3. How much money would you need to cover a day off (this can be answered a couple of ways, but I'm mainly asking how much money are you missing out on [on average] if you take a day off)?

If you'd like to answer below, feel free! If you'd like to answer more discreetly, I also provided a Google Form to fill out. It'd be anonymous.

Thank you so much for participating! Have a beautiful week!

I love y'all down, but everytime you use Gen AI to "generate" something, you're stealing from other artists. You should know that... It's not harmless.

It's harmful.

Ionlike that.

It grieves me.

How can you say you're for the liberation of all Black folks, while stealing from them?

How can you be pro-Black while using their likeness to do what you want them to do (without their consent, mind you)?

It's hard to support folks who are using technology, and old* white supremacist reasoning to steal from artist folk (like me), in order to generate... Sales, opt-ins, views, likes, etc.

It's actually painful.

You're working against our collective liberation, and you're disrespecting Black artists...

The same things were done to our artist ancestors.

Their names had to be resurrected and remembered because white theft buried them.

Please don't aid them in our erasure and enslavement. Please don't allow Empire to continue to take advantage of, and outrightly *r a p e* Black artists.

Empire is using you to harm us. Empire is making you complicit in our suffering.

I hope you can hear my heart in this.

Hello, friends. I’m so excited to share my mini-chapbook with you, "Incomplete Thoughts". (yaaaaaaaay!)

✨Get your copy here: www.patreon.com/posts/156708594

✨✨✨✨

This is a collection of 12 pages full of Black feminine rage and unrelenting joy.

(I printed and bound this little chapbook with my own hands and so much love.)

I am so excited _happy squeals_.

In all honesty, I've hoarding my art, waiting for the "perfect time" to share my art with you. I'm tired of waiting to have a complete collection together to finally put out a hundred page book. I'm tired of waiting for someone to choose me.

So, I choose myself.

I decided to start releasing my artwork in smaller, kinder ways.

These come from the pages of my (many) notebooks, the mini essays in my notes app, post-it notes and even corners of unused tissue.

These are words that greet me in the morning and echo at night.

I hope they keep you company.

These are my thoughts, poems, ideas, seeds, notes, desires, beliefs, observations, frustrations, concerns, and encouragements.

I am giddy. I feel so good about this, and I really hope you like it. I'm nervous but I am way more excited to share it with you.

I also have to give a BIG shout out to my Patrons who help my dreams come true. This first collection is dedicated to you!

*NOTE(s): I'm only creating 100 copies for this collection. Once I share 100, I'll be archiving this project.*
This is a limited release.

I want to keep my projects small, sustainable, manageable and fun.

I'm making these by hand at home, and want to honor my capacity and my materials (printer, ink, pens, paper, staples, stamps, etc.).

Thank you for honoring my creativity, my materials and my well-being.

The closer we get to the weekend, the more excited I become.

I'm so grateful to be a part of a community and movement whose mission is to set Black women free from oppressive work environments.

I hate the way Black women have been treated (historically, but also) recently. It's not fair. Black women deserve better.

Dr. Kimani of ‪@liftingasweclimbconsulting‬ and Marissa of ‪@marissapriceheals‬ saw the injustice and did something about it.

The imagination is a powerful tool, a wonderful resource and your path to liberation (what ever that looks like for you). I'll be speaking on how to reconnect with your creativity and imagination-- the precious things your job may seek to destroy.

Dr. Kimani and Marissa got free from their oppressive jobs, figured out their pathway to liberation, and came back to help Black women create their own. They used their Imaginations and creativity (and with the help of so many wonderful Black women) to create the Job Liberation Virtual Summit for Black Women (Whoo-Hoo!!!)!

Community is key for liberation. And these Black women will be sharing everything they know about getting free.

Maybe you're fully connected to your imagination (which is wonderful!). Maybe you need help with something else.

🌻 Maybe you're being targeted by managers because you're good at your job (yes. that's a thing) and you don't know why,
🌺 Maybe you're burned out and want guidance on how to heal,
🌻 Maybe you need to learn more about FMLA and how to use it to your benefit,
🌺Maybe you want to leave your job, but you're overwhelmed with where to even begin,
🌻 Maybe you want more ease in your life...

🌈 This is the weekend for you.

Join us Friday, May 1st 'til Sunday, May 3rd, for the Third Annual Job Liberation Summit for Black Women. Every year I leave transformed, inspired and encouraged.

There are multiple doors to your liberation. Every journey is different. Black women are bringing the welcome mat to help you start your journey.

See you on Fridaaaaay!!!
