🎥 Welcome to my channel!
Where shiny hunts, personal growth, and the occasional chaotic loss come together in glorious 4K.
I’m CapRogers53 — a collector, gamer, and storyteller on a mission to turn nostalgia into narrative. Whether it’s catching 50 shinies in a single Pokémon GO event (or trying to), beating games with ridiculous self-imposed rules, or documenting the thrill of the hunt — each video is part challenge, part commentary, and part controlled chaos.
🧠Strategy meets storytelling.
💔 Even if I lose, someone still wins.
Subscribe if you’re into competitive collecting, emotionally-charged nostalgia, and watching a grown man unravel over Ducklett!

I just dropped my Pokémon GO 2026 predictions 👀
Which prediction do you think I nailed — and which one do you think I completely missed?

🚨 POKEMON GO POLL 🚨
With Shadow Legendaries being more accessible via raids, is Giovanni still relevant in PokemonGo?

Part 3 of my Shundo Metagross hunt goes live at 9am EST on 8/24. Do you think the Saga ends here or will there be a part 4?

Hey everyone! I just wanted to make a quick announcement about the content coming up on this channel.
Episode 3 of the podcast series has been delayed due to me filming and editing two videos that I feel are a higher priority. So here is the schedule for the next week:
Wednesday 8/21 at 9am EST: Metagross Saga Part 1
Saturday 8/24 at 9am EST: Metagross Saga Part 2
Monday 8/26 at 9am EST: Episode 3 of the podcast series
I have episode 3 mostly scripted out already, it just needs to be recorded and edited. If there is anything you guys would like for me to cover in the opening monologue for part 4, use the space below to have your suggestions heard.
See you all in the next video!

Here’s an infographic for your reference with a lot of great information for this Rocket Takeover! Don’t forget - TM Frustration off of your Shadow Pokémon!! You only have a few days!
Unrelated, I had several videos I had planned. But sadly, I’ve been pretty sick the last few days and my voice wasn’t cooperating with me while filming. So I do apologize. I will have a Short going live Friday evening EST that will act as a Lugia Raid Guide in preparation for this weekend. Be safe!

I just wanted to give you all a "behind the scenes" update regarding the channel. Full disclosure, this might be longer than I originally thought...
For anyone who knows me, you know I'm HUGE into numbers and analytics.
For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm HUGE into numbers and analytics...there. You're caught up.
I think at this point, I have enough videos posted that I can start analyzing patterns and looking at the data-driven trends. I noticed that any video, regardless of quality or subject matter, performs poorly if it follows a "Platinum Medal Guide" video. Sometimes, it takes 2-3 videos for the numbers to get "back to normal."
What I can glean from that is that "Platinum Medal Guides" could be hindering my growth as a content creator and are potential "momentum killers." Which is a shame. I thoroughly enjoy spreading my knowledge and helping players; especially if they're stuck on a badge/medal and could use the extra push to make considerable progress. And too, I enjoy any excuse to make content and really like making those videos. And another reason I enjoy doing them is that it gives me more practice with editing videos since that is definitely an aspect I need to continue to improve upon.
However...this is where my business background comes into play.
Sometimes, you have to make a tough decision and cut ties with an idea if it's not helping to grow your business, channel, etc. Regardless of how passionate you may be about a project, sometimes it's best to shelf an idea you're excited about and focus on the things that bring you success and growth.
I know that this idea was given to me by a subscriber - one of my first subscribers ever. I want to continue hearing feedback and suggestions and I want to continue making content you enjoy as a community. So, this decision is not one I take lightly. But I have a long-term solution.
I will continue to make Platinum Medal Guides, but I'm not going to post them weekly like I was. Instead, I plan on making one MASSIVE video explaining how to get EVERY medal in Pokémon Go. I'll organize it into different sections/chapters like Raids, Trades, Catching, Misc, etc so that whoever needs it can find exactly what they are looking for. This is obviously going to be a time consuming proposition. So how about I shoot for a tentative release date (timeframe?) of early Summer 2024?
I hope you understand, but this is a decision I felt I needed to make to ensure the continuing growth of this channel and community. Thank you for your support and understanding. Stay safe and we'll see you in the next one!

I am in the midst of editing my video explaining the Ticket or Treats event in Pokémon Go. While I was editing, I got an update about the tasks and rewards for page one of the research. So, I quickly went out to my apartment's parking lot and filmed another segment that I now have to put into the finished product. Sorry for the delay, but the video will likely go live tomorrow morning (or late tonight). Thank you!
