While watching the World Cup games, it got me thinking... what are the times Figure Skaters have attempted to flop? In today's video I take a look at some of skating's most famous flops, determine if the judges bought it and what they did when it didn't! The video will premier tonight at 9PM EST / 6PM PST, I hope to see you there!

I woke up this morning to see this, 100k watch hours on this channel so far this year! I can't thank each and every one of you enough, it means the world to me that there is an audience out there that is this interested in the history of our sport, and have chosen this channel as a place to celebrate it, it's truly a dream come true.

When I was a young aspiring skater, plotting out my course of how my career would go, part of that vision was finding a way to celebrate the sport through commentary, like many of my skating idols, like Scott Hamilton, Brian Boitano and of course Dick Button... this was slotted in right after I won my Olympic Gold Medal, as a skater and a coach! ;)

Those other two things may have not happened, but each of you helped the 3rd thing happen in a way I never could have imagined. Thank you for being a part of a dream come true, and I hope to make the next 100k every bit as exciting as the the first!

For those still mourning Artur Dmitriev, I wanted to share these words from a former student of Artur, colleague and friend of mine, International Pairs Medalist Jennifer Don:

"My coach 💔. Such devastating news. Artur was giant among men. I was lucky to be one of the few American pairs teams that had the privilege of working with him. He was a kind and an incredibly talented skater and coach. Every time he spoke it was like years of Russian pair technique came pouring out of his mouth. I learned more in my first week of working with him than I had in my entire pair career. He called all his students by affectionate Russian diminutives (nicknames). His talent was otherworldly. I remember struggling with throws one day and he got on the ice in tennis shoes and did a throw 3L with me that landed itself. He was a gentle giant, always a gentleman, humble but powerful. May his memory be a blessing."

Hope you enjoyed the perspective of someone who had known him, trained under him, understood his philosophy, and the type of impact he left on those around him.

Hopefully within the next 4 hours a new video should pop up, paying tribute to legendary pairs skater, Artur Dmitriev. Artur is deeply missed within the skating community, and truly gave back to the sport in every way he could.

The ISU has announced the return of athletes from Russia and Belarus under a neutral flag for the upcoming 26-27 season. There was certainly a lot of speculation and evidence this was on it's way, but it's official now!
