It has been a wild six months since my Patreon ban. I now have a major update.

Many of you know that my 90 Second Mycology Patreon was banned without warning back in October of 2025. My first two official appeals were immediately denied, leaving the free and paid 90SM archives completely dark. I was told the decision was final and that affiliate links, giveaways or encouragement of illegal drug use/production is not allowed. Except everything I did with fungi was always in an educational, documentary, scientific and artistic (EDSA) manner since my inception in January of 2020.

Then, out of nowhere on March 23, 2026, I received an email from Patreon Trust & Safety. They reached out to admit they were actually too strict when they banned 90 Second Mycology without any prior warning. Patreon has formally reversed the decision, and 90SM is back online with a clean and "sterile" slate.

My major recommendation for all active supporters right now is to downgrade your subscription to the free tier. There is currently no exclusive content to pay for on Patreon. The FREE MERCH every 3 months for your first year tiers remain active if you want to continue generally supporting 90SM.

This entire ordeal taught me a lot about putting all my 90-second rice bags in one basket. Patreon is starting to feel a lot like YouTube with its skittish moderation and algorithmic sensitivity to keywords. Moving forward, I am not hosting the deep-dive exclusive content there. I cannot risk another "final" ban that holds my content hostage.

I am learning to create a better infrastructure and a separate, independent network for 90SM Media that safeguards against losing everything again to a single platform's whim.

Thanks for standing in the 90-second rice aisle with me during this 6-month delay. The lights in the office are back on, but future-proofing has just begun. Stay tuned for my upcoming story on how I un-banned 90SM Media from YouTube through their broken system and when you'll start seeing my older videos being uploading again to YouTube.

I'm thankful for being a part of helping so many people change their lives by growing gourmet, medicinal and functional mushrooms over the years since I came online in January of 2020.

I'm thankful for the little bit of online community that I have left after being censored from the various platforms over the years.
