People are cheeky, aren't they? Any opportunity to hijack someone elses hard work.

Here's some housekeeping I've been up to in land of the Bleeps.

Firstly, someone with insignificant genitalia, has brought up the old Joanallen.co.uk website, and is selling horrible chinese Metal Detectors on it. What a lad. They are benefiting from the hundreds of backlinks I have on my videos in the google rankings and the huge effort Luke and team put in to rank the site.

Cynical and weak. So, I've been deleting them all. I'm getting through them slowly and am replacing them with my new site:

I wouldn't be bothered, but knowing someones done that to piggy back on our hard work has really pulled my plonker.

Secondly, yet again - an absolute slipper has been stealing my videos and uploaded them to TikTok. Again. Oh, also - some cabbage has created an Addicted To Bleeps Facebook page. If you follow it, it isn't me. I left Facebook on account of it being slop.

Its annoying having a few subscribers sometimes. People do these things. Others pretend to be your friend, so you feature them in videos and do as MUCH as you can to help them, only for them to bin you once they get a bit of leverage. Then there's the companies that want the eyes that you've gathered. They promise all sorts. They talk a lot. They talk too much. They should shush. Just shush.

My only responsibility is to my lovely Patreons, most of which have followed me through thick and thin. Oh, and regular watchers. You guys, too. And those that have been round for ages. That's it.

Other than that, I don't owe anybody, anything. Please remember this. Instead of trying to benefit from what someone else has created, and the years of effort they've put into something, how about trying to create something of your own? Just a little bit of effort on your part, and you may suprise yourself.

Then again, maybe not. Worth a go though, surely?

Why is every 'expert' in my comments section a Simplex user? Every single time. Always from my country, too.

They've been detecting for 6 months, and therefore decide it's time to share their infinite knowledge with the world, Via my comments section.

'The Simplex is better than everything.'

'3030? Simplex is better.'

'Deus 2? Never heard of it mate. Simplex is better anyway.

Is that why people call it the Dimplex? I think it is, isn't it? It's all making sense now.

Nothing against the many people I know who use one and DON'T decide they're now the know-all of everything Metal Detecting, Lords of the coil, and King of the Squeeks.

Finally, these horrible things (disposable barbecues) are being banned ‘round our parts. We (Metal Detectorists) are the only people digging them up, and keeping the public safe from them - and we dig a LOT of them up.

Unfortunately, the council in the North East is sticking with its ban on Detecting, leaving barbecues, knives, hooks, needles, bottle tops still attached to glass, and much more in the sand - potentially causing injuries like the one above (and many more) to the public.

It’s only a matter of time before it happens, and this particular council should have the finger well and truly pointed at them.
