Just curious if anyone with some deep knowledge about Macs can help me understand why my system keeps slowing down as I record. I thought my problem was display link, so I removed that and went to a different system, but the projecting of the external display is still causing me fits. I also see this when I am asking AI for help. I had to do the last two videos in five pieces of two minutes each. It's getting frustrating. This seems to be a recent phenomenon.
🔴 WindowServer → ~70% GPU

* Still high
* This is your primary bottleneck
* Means macOS is working hard just to draw the screen

👉 This is why your video can still feel “behind”

* Still elevated
* That means:
👉 thermal throttling is still happening

Even if it’s lower than before, it’s not “clean”

* Means OBS is working harder than it should

👉 This is NOT normal

This is a macOS background automation system that:

* watches folders
* runs scripts/actions

👉 Something on your machine is triggering it heavily
