Bloemfontein woman found dead after disappearance
The body of 39-year-old Mapitso Ibezim, who went missing on 10 July, has been discovered inside a burnt-out vehicle following a car crash.
The Phahameng resident was last seen leaving home with her Nigerian boyfriend in a black VW.
Her boyfriend, believed to have been behind the wheel, survived the crash and is being treated in hospital.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, as Mapitso's family demands clarity on the events that led to her death.

The Vatican says Pope Francis remains in a critical condition, but hasn't presented any further respiratory issues. The Catholic pontiff also has an issue with his kidneys, which is currently under control. The pope was admitted to Rome's Gemelli Hospital on 14 February due to breathing difficulties. He was first treated for bronchitis before being diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. Holy Trinity Braamfontein's Fr. Russell Pollitt explains.

Grammy award-winning singer Roberta Flack, who crooned hits like “Killing Me Softly with His Song” and “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” has died, a representative confirmed to NBC News.
Flack’s song “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” became a breakout after it appeared on her first album, “First Take,” in 1969. After being used in Clint Eastwood’s 1971 directorial debut “Play Misty for Me,” however, Atlantic Records released a radio version, which became a huge hit, peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1972.
In November 2022, a representative announced that Flack had ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and could no longer sing.

Despite efforts to save Muvhango which was given a revamp by introducing new stars like famed actress Leleti Khumalo and others earlier this year to try and bring audiences the show has now been canned.
The SABC has decided against renewing the show beyond its current season.
