Depending on the angle and the lighting, Mattified surfaces can look lighter. This is not mean that there is white paint in these stripes on the car, it just means that it's matte, and therefore distributing light throughout the entire abrasive/porous surface.

Client had gone somewhere where they use black tattoo ink, now he has this blue-ish halo all around his scar. He said laser removal wasn't working, so he came to me.
