Employment update: I have a new job!


If you saw the video I posted back in October, you know I was recently let go after 12 years with my previous employer. I’m happy to share that I’m now back to work and I’ve already completed three weeks at the new job.


I’m not going to name my new employer here, but I will say it’s very similar work to what I was doing before and I’m genuinely enjoying what I’m doing.


This YouTube channel remains a hobby for me: photographing silicon chips under the microscope, tearing down electronics, and designing circuit boards are things that I’m passionate about and won’t stop doing. I love this community, and I’ll absolutely keep posting videos going forward.


I also want to sincerely thank everyone who commented or reached out after that October video. The support was real, and it meant more to me than I can properly express.


I’m feeling energized and optimistic. I’ve got a feeling that 2026 is going to be a great year for videos.😁

With everyone's support, we've made it to 100,000 subscribers!

Receiving a plaque from YouTube has always been a goal of mine, so I sincerely want to thank everyone for your support and help in reaching this achievement.

I've been working on a video for the past few weeks to commemorate this occasion, and it will hopefully be wrapped up in the next few days. It’s time for the 50K celebration giveaway!


As a way to say thanks for everyone’s support, I’ve thrown together a prize box that includes two silicon wafers, one 5” wafer, and one 8” wafer. Additionally, the box includes 2x of each of the four current PCB coins, along with 2x of the not-yet-released Starfield-themed credstick PCBcoin variant. Shipping is included!


There will also be a 2nd place prize (1x 5” wafer and 1x of each of the four PCBcoins) and a 3rd place prize (1x of each of the four PCBcoins) that will be drawn from the pool of entrants. Shipping is still included :)

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give a heads up that I’ll be traveling for a few days, so I probably won’t be posting a daily upload like I’ve been doing. It’s unfortunate because I’ll be breaking my streak of 92 consecutive uploads. Side note, I also won’t be able to ship any orders from my store until I get back.



When I do get back, I’m planning to do a giveaway to celebrate reaching 50K here on YouTube (I know, I’m pretty late 😅). The prize will be a box with two silicon wafers in it, some PCBcoins, and maybe some other swag stuff that I might have lying around. Stay tuned for more details!



I expect to have some downtime while I’m traveling to keep editing videos, I just might not have the opportunity to record any audio for them. That just means I’ll have plenty of videos ready to upload in the future 😁

I just finished editing the next long-form video that I will be uploading to the channel shortly. This video will focus on the HP 83000 IC test system, specifically one of the I/O boards from inside of one, and the hybrid modules inside of it. I’ve got a few things to wrap up like the thumbnail and description, so I’m scheduling it to post tomorrow (3/24) as my first Instant Premiere at 12PM CDT. I hope to see you there when it goes live!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for 25K!

I definitely didn’t expect to get here this quickly, but I’m happy you’re all here. I have a few big videos that I’ve been working on in-between all of these shorts, and they should be finally ready to go starting in the next week or two. These long-form videos will focus on some interesting teardowns, 4K chip videos, and some of the other projects I’ve been working on in the past few months.

You can still look forward to many more shorts like what I’ve been posting recently, as I continue to go through the videos on my phone and remaster/re-edit them for posting here. So far, I’ve cleared off over 50GB of space, which has allowed me to finish editing the longer videos. 😁
