आज है 3 जून जिसे" विश्व साइकिल दिवस" के रूप में मनाया जाता है। साइकिल की खोज सन 1817 में कार्ल वॉन ड्रैस ने किया था। यूनाइटेड नेशंस जनरल असेंबली द्वारा आज ही के दिन साल 2018 में अंतराष्ट्रीय साइकिल दिवस घोषित किया गया था । इसे सर्वप्रथम सस्ता परिवहन साधन माना जाता है 1960 से 1990 के दशक में इसका उपयोग बहुत महत्वपूर्ण था लेकिन आज इसे शहरों में एक्सरसाइज की मशीन के रूप में भी उपयोग किया जाता है ।
