I know today’s conversation is a little different… but after watching the Trump & Xi Jinping summit closely, I genuinely walked away feeling like there were layers to this meeting that most headlines are completely ignoring.
Everyone is talking about tariffs, Taiwan, Iran, and trade wars — and yes, those things matter. But what stood out to me most was the tone.
The repeated language around:
• “unity”
• “partnership”
• “shared future”
• “strategic stability”
• AI “guardrails”
And the fact that some of the world’s most powerful tech and finance leaders were present for these conversations.
That raised a much bigger question for me:
What kind of future are world leaders quietly preparing us for?
Not fearfully. Not conspiratorially. Just thoughtfully.
Because whether people realize it or not, AI, global economics, surveillance technology, trade, and geopolitics are all beginning to overlap in ways we probably should be paying closer attention to.
I broke down the full summit, the messaging, the diplomacy, and the subtle moments I think people overlooked the most. 👀
