Hey everyone, I'm still alive and no I have not abandoned this channel. I know it’s been a couple of weeks since my last upload and I’ve been completely MIA on here. I’m really sorry for dropping off the radar without any heads-up. I just needed a break, it's hard not to think about everything that's going on.

I am pushing through it, though. I’m working on the next story right now and it should be out either tomorrow or the day after.

On a side note, I was messing around in YouTube Studio today and tried out their "Ask Studio" AI tool just to see what it would say about my channel. I’m beyond speechless at the fact that YouTube’s own official system literally analyzed my videos and told me they aren't mass-produced, they aren't repetitive, and that they show "intentional creative effort rather than a generic template."

You actually can't make this stuff up.

Let that sink in.

YouTube's automated system demonetizes me for "inauthentic content." YouTube's own AI then turns around and goes "actually this is quite good, very original, 10/10." These two things live in the same building. Possibly on the same server. They have never once spoken to each other.

So quick update to you all because I’m beyond frustrated at this point. The appeal was rejected.

As some of you may figured it out, I left a comment on Hong Kong Horror's last post. I actually got through to a specific person in Creator Support who said they’d look into it personally, but after the "specialists" got done with it, the answer was still no. Apparently, they’re doubling down on this "inauthentic" label because they think the channel looks too "templated."

Honestly? That’s total bullshit.

Every niche on this platform runs on templates and trends. When a title like "The X situation is crazy" blows up, a thousand people use it. Look at the history niche there are dozens of channels using the exact same "Why it sucks to be born as a..." format. It’s how YouTube works. But for some reason, when we do it in the horror space, it’s "inauthentic," while everyone else gets a pass.

It’s like they aren't even looking at the actual stories. They’re judging the book by the cover and ignoring the fact that I spend hours researching. Yes I use AI for help it's a tool and it should only be used a tool to help you figure out things. And how you want to take things in a certain way. That's how I have always used it in my case.

Seeing some slop channels still staying monetized while I get buried for trying to add actual value is exhausting. I really don't understand what they want from us at this point. It feels like no matter how much "human" effort you put into the writing, if the wrapper looks like something they've decided they don't like, you're out.

I’m still trying to process this and figure out what it means for the future of this channel. I really wanted to keep this place going for you guys, all of you are genuinely important to me, and it made me really happy that I was able to build such a small but active and loyal audience as you people, but right now, I’m just stuck.

I have some frustrating news to share with all of you. YouTube has demonetized this channel, citing "inauthentic content" as the reason. It's honestly really disheartening. I've always tried to offer something different here, and getting that flag feels like a dismissal of the work I've put into these stories.

It’s becoming obvious that I’m not alone in this. A lot of horror creators are being hit with the exact same flag right now as YouTube rolls out new policy changes. Even channels using their actual voices are being caught in this sweep. We’re all being caught in the crossfire while the system tries to enforce these new rules.

When I started this channel I didn't really have a clear direction, but I figured out pretty quickly that I didn't want to just pump out repetitive content. I wanted to do something that actually felt worth making. Stories that land with people rather than just being spooky for the sake of it. For anyone who listened to my stories and picked up on things, you know what I'm talking about. It's frustrating to watch as there are still some channels in this space get away with putting out literal "slop".

I never wanted this to be a channel where I just hit generate and call it a day. There's a reason each video feels a little different, and that's because I actually put thought into making sure the stories have some substance to them.

I'm going to submit an appeal and will show the team my entire work process and see what happens. I'm hoping for a fair review, but I have to be honest. If the appeal gets rejected, I'm not sure what the future of this channel looks like.

Next video dropping tomorrow or the day after. Not sure yet because this one came out longer than I was expecting and I haven't even started editing. Work had me out of my hometown for some time so I've been a little busy, that's also why I haven't been able to reply to anyone's comments lately.



I'm also noticing that my recent story videos have been doing really well, something I'm genuinely grateful to all of you for. Anyone who liked, subscribed, shared and HYPED. Anyways I'll try to get the video out by tomorrow, hopefully.

Hey everyone, It's me again.

Just here to remind you all I'm an actual person and not some automated post. I know, it's hard to tell sometimes.


So, some of the last few stories I've covered, I know they have been heavy, kind of uncomfortable and not exactly what you came here for. And I get that. (also considering the fact that YouTube doesn't really care about pushing my voice.) I know most people who watch this kind of content came here for horror stories, not a history lesson or whatever moral rabbit hole I decided to go down.



But honestly? I couldn't not talk about it. Some of these places have a whole other story underneath the ghost story and it just felt wrong to skip over it or present them in that sort of format, given everything going on in the world right now it felt worth saying out loud. So i said it.


That's not what this is going to be all the time though. I'd still be doing traditional horror stories, that's still very much the plan. But for those who stuck around through the heavier ones, you know who you are. Thank you for listening to me. 🖤

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thank you.

Not long ago I mentioned that reaching 500 subscribers by the end of January felt unrealistic, but something I still wanted to try for. We hit it much earlier than I ever expected, and I don’t take that lightly.
